Armed and Dangerous

A.N.: A wee anime crossover, for ya. Enjoy!

"She's just in here," Tai whispered. "She's sleeping now, so please don't wake her."

"Oh, no problem, Mr. Xiao Long. I'll be quiet as a mouse." With that, the father left the other blonde to her own quiet devices.

The woman would have simply pulled up a chair and waited for her client to awake. But something on the shelf caught her eye.

Yang slowly and comfortably woke up.

That was until her eyes and ears were assaulted by a babbling, screaming woman.

"What the- Who are-" was all she managed to get out before she was cut off.

"Ohmygoodness, I love your gauntlet! What is it called; what did you use; did you build it yourself? How?"

"Who are you and what are you doing in my room?!" Yang finally screamed, eyes turning red.

The woman seemed to realize herself, calming instantly and pulling up a chair.

"I'm Winry. Winry Elric," she announced, holding out a hand for Yang to shake. "I caught wind of your situation and thought I could help. An automail prosthetic, free of charge!"

"Save your breath," Yang replied, waving her hand. "No one can help me. I hate prosthetics, anyway. They're bulky and they get in the way."

In an instant, her lights were put out by a wrench to the head.

Winry, not missing a beat, picked her up, turned her around on the bed, and set to work.

Six months later

Yang stood proudly in front of her family, as well as Winry and her husband, Edward, who stayed to the corner with his arms crossed.

The recovery period had been blessedly, but not unexpectedly, short, for which she was very glad.

"A copper-nickel alloy with a yellow carbon fiber coating," the mechanic went on. "It'll fire just like her gauntlet and punch even harder than she normally can! It's even compatible with your semblance!"

Tai stepped forward and hugged his little girl. "So, what are you going to do now?"

The smile dropped from Yang's face and her lilac eyes took their old steel.

"I'm going to find Adam," she growled. "I'll do to him what he did to me. Then he'll tell me where to find Blake."

"Revenge," mused Qrow. "You sure that's a road you want to go down, Firecracker?"

She looked down, before giving up on the question altogether.

"I'm going," she declared, breaking through the semicircle of adults and slinging her backpack over her metal shoulder. Her new right hand was on the door when a new voice called to her.

"Hey." It was Edward, she realized. She'd expected his voice to be tinny and high-pitched, and that was exactly what she got. She turned to the other blonde, who fixed her with a stern gaze.

"Don't let your little revenge scheme eat you up, alright? Because it will, and then it won't be you anymore."

She didn't respond to his after-school-special sounding words, and left with goodbyes from all – and a reminder to come back for repairs.

A.N.: I'm not entirely sure if I'll continue this, but I'd like to if I get the chance. Let me know what you think of the story and review it.
