A/N: I'm back!

Hey guys! I got a new laptop for Christmas so I posted a new HG story. It's a little angsty, but I had inspiration for it.

But however, lately I've been on a serious Percy Jackson kick, and I was viewing one of Burdge's magnificent works of art of Harry and Ginny titled. "Your obvious is showing," but instead of writing an HG one, Percabeth came to mind. But it's ok. I've never actually wrote a Percabeth fic so I'mma try it!

P.S. This takes place after Battle of the Labyrinth but before the Demi-God Diaries and The Last Olympian, so Beckendorf is alive but he and Silena aren't together yet.

Your Obvious Is Showing

Looking back on it, it was a much better day than it seemed at the time.

I had gotten back on my recent quest a few days ago, and I was training with Annabeth. Since we were facing a war with the Titan Lord Kronos, Annabeth and Chiron thought it best that the campers train as much as we could. Annabeth and I decided that we would be the best opponents for each other, so we trained together.

Probably my worst decision yet, and I've made a lot of bad choices, so I guess that says something.

Don't get me wrong, Annabeth is great, she's my best friend and all, but she's also a really good fighter and strategist. Her mother is the goddess of war and battle strategy, so it all makes perfect sense.

So naturally, she was beating me.

Annabeth and I have fought alongside each other for about 3 years now, so she knew almost all of the moves I would use against her. Not to mention the person who trained me, trained her.

It wasn't like she was completely beating me, I was pretty good myself, but it was hard to concentrate on fighting when she was looking that good. I mean, she'd always been pretty, but her looks had never had the effect on me that they were having now. Had she always been this beautiful?

She side swiped me and knocked Riptide right out of my hands.

"Earth to Percy!" Annabeth yelled at me. "Focus!"

I was sure she found me staring at her and that's how she knocked my sword out my hands, so I tried not to look so obvious.

"Sorry, I-"

"What's with you lately?" she demanded.

"I'm just… Uh…" I stammered, trying to come up with a less embarrassing excuse for lack of focus than 'You', but the horn blew. It was dinner time.

"Hey!"

Annabeth and I turned around and faced Beckendorf.

"Silena said she needs to talk to you about Capture the Flag, Annabeth," he said. "She's by her cabin."

"We'll finish this later, Percy," Annabeth sighed, a little disappointed like, and left. My eyes followed her all the way out.

"Hey, Percy," Beckendorf said I looked over at him. He was laughing a little. "Your obvious is showing."
