''Goodnight,'' dad said.
''Sweet dreams,'' I relied as I crept up the castles brick stairs which led to my room, I was a princess after all. After I put on my sparkly teal night gown I crawled into my ridiculously soft and silky bed. Soon after I closed my eyes I felt a cold hand on my forehead so I quickly opened my eyes to see who the intruder was. Suddenly who ever this person was moved his hand over my mouth so I wouldn't make a sound.
''Shhh I'm going to move my hand but if you make a sound I'll cover it again understood,'' said a voice it sounded manly not deep but not squeaky actually I think it was kind of soothing. He slowly moved his hand from my mouth
''HELP,'' I screamed. He quickly covered my mouth so I licked his hand.
''Eww,'' he said as he wiped his hand on his pants ''why would you do that that's disgusting,'' I didn't care what he taught I just wanted to get out of here. So I ran towards the door but the man caught me and put my hands over my head. ''Quiet,'' he hissed as he put a knife near my throat. Now that I can take a good look at him I dare say he's attractive he had frosty blue eyes and perfect blond hair. ''The names Len, Len Kagamine,'' Len said.
''Miku,'' I barely whisper.
''Look your scared and I know you want to run but listen to me I don't want to hurt you but if you don't calm down I will do something,'' he warned. After he let go of my hands I didn't bother to run I knew he would catch me anyways. ''Sit,'' he demanded pointing at the edge of my bed. I did as I was told.
''What do you want with me,'' I asked.
He chuckled ''the question should be what do you want with me,'' he replied.
''What? '' I asked ''I don't want anything to do with you,''
''Oh my dear Miku so innocent and stupid wake up its reality and reality is harsh. I'm a dream eating Baku and for the next three days you will be my client,' 'Len explained kissing a long strand of my hair. A Baku I've heard of that before their magical creatures that eat people's nightmares and exchange them for nice ones. For that you must pay a price and their not always so cheap.
''Thanks for the offer but I'm not interested in your services,'' I replied.
''Aww you haven't even heard me out yet,'' Len whined.
''Well hurry up so I can go to bed already,'' I whined back.
''Fine I'll come back for the next three days and get rid of your nightmares in exchange for a price'' Len explained in a bored tone.
'' And the price is,'' I said trying to get him to continue.
''Oh that we can discuss later,'' Len said trying to change the conversation.
''My answer is still no now get out of my room,'' I said opening my window. Suddenly I was pinned down on my bed by Len.
''Sorry princes but it's not going to be that easy, look I've been watching you. You have vivid nightmares almost on a daily basis I can help you get rid of them for at least three day what do you say?'' Len said.
''Well.. .'' It's true sometimes I wake up around midnight panting and covered in sweat.
''Admit it you want to accept the deal because you can take it anymore,'' Len said trying to study me.
''Fine I accept just make them stop,'' I pleaded. He grinned handing me a contract so I could sign it.
''Thank you,'' he said as I finished signing.
''But what's the price,'' I asked unsure if I wanted to know.
''I want company someone to be with talk to you know it gets lonely living 12,999,999 years without a friend,'' he explained.
''Oh,'' was all I could say amazed at how unwrinkled his face looked.(I want some of that moisturizer)
''Well goodnight my princess,'' he said lightly kissing my forehead. Then he got off me before I crawled inside my covers and drifted to sleep…..
I'm standing outside an abandoned mansion my clothes are all dirty and damped. My hair is all tangled and frizzy but worst of all my face is bloody and I have a wound on my left cheek. Then after I went in the mansion I found a man sitting in the corner of the room with his hands on his head whispering ''they're coming they're coming,'' repeatedly ''we wont escape, haha we can't we're gonna die...ALL OF US''. The man had short navy blue hair with matching blue eyes. I closed my eyes trying to ignore him as I went to the hallway. I found a door and placed a hand over it trying to get it to open. Inside was a mirror I looked in it and I couldn't believe my eyes. In the mirror was my reflection staring back at me with an evil smile. I noticed that the reflection had fangs with beautiful dark wings and a crown made out of thorns. My reflection took a knife from her pocket and started stabbing herself everywhere while chanting '' I must die.'' She looked at me and smiled
''This is how you're going to die, this is your faith, this is who you are your nothing but a worthless person, you never deserved to live you're a waste,'' she snarled.
''I'm not,'' I said tears forming under my eyes.
''Why are you crying I haven't even started yet,'' he said her voice low and raspy. Just when I thought I was about to burst into tears Len appeared by my side and flashed me one of his dazzling smiles.
''Now I can show you what my powers can do,'' he said taking my hand. I remember seeing a white flash then finding myself sitting under a large oak tree in a simple white dress and baby blue sandals and sketching for the rest of my dream. When I woke up I found Len sitting in a chair across from my bed staring back at me.
I lazily opened my eyes and turned around to find a certain young (looking) boy laying across from me I felt blood rush into my cheeks at the thought of sleeping next to Len.
''W-WHAT WAKE UP!'' I screamed and shook Len until he was awake.
''Gee calm down Miku don't be so loud in the morning gosh can't a guy get some sleep?'' Len answered now fully awake.
''Why are you here?'' I asked.
''For our date of course why else my dear?'' He replied hugging me from my waist.
''Umm...''If I said I didn't enjoy our date ...it would be a lie. We went to town and bought some new dresses. During the afternoon we went to the park and we swung on the swing. It reminded me of when I was a child. Of when my mother was still alive...
''Goodnight my princess'' Len said seductively and walked over to my window ready to jump out.
''Wait,'' I said grabbing him by his hand.
''Yes?'' Len asked lifting his eyebrow.
''Nothing'' I said unable to meet his gaze. He gave me a knowing smile and lifted up my chin and gave me a sweet kiss.
''Alright then sweet dreams'' and with that he was gone.
There was no nightmare that night just a sweet dream...
I woke up from my magnificent dream to find Len sitting in a chair across from me with a lazy smile.
''Since when were you here,'' I asked not liking the idea of Len sneaking in my room while I'm sleeping for the second time.
''Good morning to you too,'' he said sarcastically ''and since I sensed you were going to having a bad dream so I came to eat it,'' he finished.
''Well it's not night time anymore so GET OUT,'' I yelled pointing at my window. Len stood up and stepped towards me and I stepped back I ended up trapped against the wall by Len.
''Just a reminder your part of the deal was to keep me company so I can stay here all I want until I want got it,'' he whispered in my ear which caused me to shiver. He stepped back and smirked ''you're scared of me I can sense it,'' his smirk widened when I flinched.
''Am not,'' I said pouting.
''Are too,'' he said mimicking my actions.
''Whatever I have better things to do,'' I said walking towards my door but Len blocked my way.
''We will take a walk,'' he said grabbing ahold of me by my waist ''whether you like it or not,'' he said jumping out of my window. I screamed as my stomach dropped then we landed on a branch just outside the woods.
''Let me down you freak,'' I demanded.
''I don't think you want that,'' he said. As I looked down I noticed the ground was about 12 feet down I gulped not really liking the height. Len jumped out of the branch and landed on the ground and dusted himself off as he let me down. ''Shall we get going now,'' he said walking off I followed him not really having a choice. I started daydreaming about a certain blond person when I heard Len scream ''Look out'' when I finally snapped out of my daze I noticed a wrecking ball coming my way. It was coming closer when Len ran and pushed me out of the way just in time. ''Are you retarded or something you could have killed yourself shrimp,'' Len said angrily I frowned as he sighed ''just watch were you're going shrimp,''
''I'm sorry I didn't know I could die,'' I said sarcastically ''and don't call me shrimp,'' I stormed after him. I don't know what to think of him anymore first he scares me then he consoles me he saves me then he gets mad at me he's sending me mixed symbols. As we walked ahead I noticed a man standing behind a tree I don't think Len noticed him because he walked ahead of him without even glancing back. Just when I was passing him he pulled me back.
''Listen Len is bad news you should stay away from him before you get hurt ok go now that you still can,'' he spoke. The man had dark green orbs and dark hair before I could say anything Len appeared.
''I see you've met my cousin Manny don't listen to him he always tries to scare away my clients so he can steal them am I right dear cousin,'' Len asked Manny with a threatening smile. I stared at Manny who just stood silent staring at Len the whole time.
''Lets finish our walk,'' Len suggested well it wasn't really a suggestion since it was his who dragged me out of the spot. When we finished our walk Len took me back to the castle. ''Goodnight princes,'' Len said playing with my hair. ''Goodnight Len,'' I replied lightly kissing his cheek. His eyes widened but he didn't push me away.
''Uh remember tomorrow's the last day,'' Len said holding his cheek. Aww I totally forgot Baku's come for three days but after the third day you never see them again. No I will not let this happen tomorrow when he leaves I will follow him and never leave his side yes that's what I will do. Just as I finished my plan my room door burst open and in came my dad and a couple of guards. My dad came to my side and made sure I wasn't hurt then his eyes fixed on Len.
''No not you,' my dad said pointing at Len ''anybody but you Miku please tell me you didn't go with him,'' he asked me.
''What's so wrong with it,'' I asked ''have you met before,'' that's when I saw Len flinch.
'' I-It's nothing,'' Len said waving his hands.
''You call killing my only child's mother nothing,'' my father yelled. My mother... Len killed my mother. That can't be true it just can't. It couldn't be him the one who made me lose my mother. The one who made me miss out on my mother's love, her hugs, kisses, her voice...No not Len.
''That's not true right,'' I asked Len but he stayed silent ''tell me that's not true,'' I yelled my eyes filled with tears.
''I'm sorry Miku,'' Len whispered as he jumped out my window. That night my dad locked me in my tower. I went over to the window tears staining my face as I locked it and blocked it over with objects. That night I had a dream I never had before I was floating in darkness and as much as I tried to get into the light I couldn't reach it. The next day I went out to my gardens when I spotted Manny looking at a bunch of roses and went over to him.
''Um I just wanted to say I'm sorry I should have taken your advice and stayed away from him,'' I said not trying to say Lens name. His eyes widened as he stared ahead of me. I turned around to see what he was looking at when I found this person or I think it was a person who looked exactly like Len only in a girl version. She wore a suit that was torn from sides her cheeks were wounded and blood stained her face.
''My name is Rin and I'm here to kill the one who goes by the name of Miku Hatsune,'' she hissed. Rin charged at me but Manny blocked her way and stabbed her right shoulder with a knife she yelped in pain. ''This isn't your fight Manny,'' she spat out sprinting towards me. Manny took out his AK47 and shot her near her heart causing her to lose focus.
''Hide in the woods I'll finish her off,'' he yelled. When I was pretty sure I lost them I stopped to rest a bit when I heard a noise. Wandering off trying to find the cause of the noise my heart nearly stopped when I saw Len cracking a skull open on a table, I hid in a nearby bush just before he spotted me. He kept on taking people from a nearby cage and killing them as if it meant nothing. My heart stopped as I saw him pull out my best friend Meiko from the cage she tried running away but as always Len had the upper hand I screamed out her name as Len chopped off her head with a saw. I saw Len quickly look my way after I screamed but I didn't care if he caught me or even killed me anymore. So I sat in a ball crying my eyes out.
''You just couldn't keep away now could you,'' he teased ''come out come out wherever you are,'' he sang. He sighed as he put down his saw and started to walk over to me. After I realized he left the cage keys in the table I ran as fast as I could to open the cage and free the people. My heart dropped as Len managed to shot them all with his gun. ''That wasn't very nice,'' he frowned. I started walking back to the castle not looking at him. ''You smell like Manny were you with him,'' he asked but I kept walking he grabbed me by my shoulders ''I asked you a question so answer me were you with him,'' he hissed.
''No! '' I yelled and kept on walking.
''Your lying this is your last chance were you with him,'' Len asked threateningly.
''I wasn't,' 'I shouted again.
''Why are you lying I saw you with him,'' Len said blocking my way.
''Then why did you ask in the first place,'' I screamed at the top of my lungs pushing him out of my way so I could keep walking. I heard him sigh.
''Are you trying to hurt me,'' he asked.
''I don't know but you seem like you enjoy killing the people I care about,'' I said trying to fight back tears.
''Oh yeah like who,'' he asked immediately regretting his questions.
''Oh why don't you ask my mom or my best friend Meiko you know the one you killed a while ago,'' I said letting the tears fall as I went inside my castle. As I went to sleep my taught drifted to Len…
''S-stop,'' I said trying to get away from Len who had a knife that was meant to put an end to me.
''But Miku dear I'm only making the world a better place,'' Len snarled.
''Knock it off Len,'' I yelped dodging a strike.
''Don't you want to die? Cause I can make that happen,'' just as he finished talking he stabbed me in my in my stomach causing me to start feeling lightheaded bleeding to death. Just as expected Len appeared in front of me ready to eat my dream.
''So this is what you think of me,'' Len said sadly. A familiar flash appeared and I found myself sitting near a stream. There were tiny pink fish that tickled when they brushed against my feet. ''don't get used to me saving the day because this is my last visit I just came to say goodbye,'' Len said sitting behind me wrapping his arms around my waist. He pulled back ''Well,'' he said ''I have to go before the sun rises,'' he said standing up.
''No,'' I said pulling him close to me '' stay at least until I wake up,'' I said hugging his arm. When I woke up I was surprised to see that Len was still sleeping beside me. He looked so defenseless so innocent. The sun's rays make his skin seem like if it was glowing in a way. I smiled I couldn't help but think he was super cute as I went over to my closet and changed into a cute short champagne dress that reached a little lower from my knee caps and some flats. Afterwards I tied my hair into their regular pigtails with red bows. When I was just finishing making some final touches Len woke up. ''Morning,'' I said in a perky voice.
''Morning,'' Len said as he stretched. He got out of bed and opened the window ''You know I have to go right,'' he reminded me.
''I know I said trying to make my best sad impression.
''Goodbye shrimp,'' Len said and with that he left. Next I quickly ran down to my garden just to see a flash of neon yellow enter the woods I followed it knowing it was Len. Soon after I started fallowing him I was sure to keep enough distance from each other he kept on walking until he reached an old looking mansion then he went inside it. Afterwards I went to the door and tried opening it and to my surprise it was unlocked so I stepped in. My mouth flew open the mansion which I was currently standing in was the place that I have been dreaming since I was 5 the mansion of my nightmares. My palms started getting sweaty and my stomach started feeling butterflies.
''Welcome to my mansion my name is Gakupo master of this home,'' he said introducing himself ''please join us for dinner,'' he offered.
