Karkat sighed, lost in his thoughts. Everything was going wrong. The game seemed like a lost cause, everyone was going die. Half of his friends had betrayed him. The other half were either busy playing a part of this trap of a game, or dead. Why was he dead yet? He deserved to die. Karkat pulled out the blade he had in his pocket and put it up to his skin, preparing to make a careful cut across his already scarred arm. Tears stung his eyes, he trembled from hurt of the dark emotions swirling through his think pan.

Stepping out of the flowers behind him was Gamzee. "Don't you dare" he said.

Karkat turned to look at him, putting down the razor. "Why did you leave me?" Karkat asked, "I didn't care about you and Terezi, whatever that was!"

Gamzee shrugged. "I felt-" the clown started to speak. "You felt what? That you were better than me? That your juggalo lifestyle was more important than your best friend?!"

Karkat then got quieter, his voice cracking, "You said I was your favorite bottle of Redpop Faygo. What happened?"

Gamzee stared at Karkat for a long time. "I thought I wasn't good enough to be your best friend." Grape-colored tears stung Gamzee's saddened eyes. He sat down on the grass next to Karkat, looking down at his own knees, embarassed.

He continued, "You were such a better troll than I could ever be. I made too many mistakes. I hurt too many people."

Karkat looked over at Gamzee. The troll really did look upset over losing his moiral. Karkat put his hand on the teary eyed juggalo's shoulder. "I tried to help you. I papped you and loved on you but you didn't notice. You ran away from me and left."

Gamzee hung his head in shame. "I am sorry, bro. I am awful. I don't deserve your companionship. I deserve a shitty friend like Ampora, not someone as understanding and caring as you." Karkat grabbed Gamzee's hand and looked at him straight in the eyes.

"No," he started, "We deserve each other. Neither of us are perfect, but together we can help fix each others flaws and learn to love the ones we can't change." Gamzee smiled. "Really?" Karkat let out a grin back. "Really and truly." Gamzee leaned in to hug Karkat, but stopped. Karkat frowned. "Why did you stop?" Karkat leaned back at Gamzee and embraced the clown into his arms. Karkat really truly was the bestest friend a juggalo like Gamzee could ask for.
