You never really understood the brunette little girl who didn't ever live up to her parents' expectations. Preferring to lie out between the overgrown blades of grass and honeysuckle and read a storybook full of dashing princes and fire-breathing dragons rather than coop up in her room with Hogwarts, A History, she was a foreign subject, never quite fitting in with the rest of her cousins. She was the lopsided, broken puzzle piece, a warm honey shade compared to the firered of her family. But, that was okay, wasn't it? Because you never quite fit in with the Weasley-Potter brood either, and on that balmy July afternoon, all tangled up in the sweet-smelling grass, you fit together, and that's all that really mattered as her lips were pressed to yours and fireworks exploded in your throat and you never really needed to understand the abstruse little girl with the brown curls, anyways.
