"Steph the security system is runnin' wild, today it set of again. You are really gonna have to change the system ASAP. Its getting on my nerves and as much as I love you baby girl if you don't do something about it I am really going to take you to the mat's," said Luke Thomas Plum, my one and only brother as he walked in my office.
My name is Stephanie Plum. I am turning 32 in two days and still have no husband nor a boyfriend. Currently I reside in Miami, FL. I am your average 5 ft. 6 in. tall girl but still shorter than the two men in my life, I have blue eyes, a big mop of curly brown hair that rest well below my shoulders blades and a well toned body thanks to all the 'military' training my dad put me through when we lived in all the military bases. Even though I still cant believe it I am the owner and CEO of Plum Publishing's, one of the top ten publishing houses in the world. We have a couple of houses over the world, most in US, Miami is the headquarters and then there are the ones in L.A., New York City, London, Sydney, Beijing, and as shocking as I think it is I am thinking of opening on in Italy as Dad, Luke and I have a soft spot for the country and would definitely like to live a laid back life now and then but still be involved at work.
I started out writing children's picture books and adult romance, adventure books but now having to run such a big organization there is no time for me to write as often as I did but i still devote some hours a week to write. All my inspirations come from all the romance going on the bases and the struggles of all the army wives...
" I think it's time to get a new company to do our security now pumpkin seeing that false alarms have been an issue for a while," Dad said bringing me out of my moment.
"Alright, since you both are so eager to change it why don't the both of you search for the best one in the city or even country and have Angela arrange a meeting with them but you both will have to sit in with me," I said hoping that they'll stop complaining.
There was utter complete silence for a couple of minutes whist both of them were lost in their thoughts weighing and analyzing their options the way they have been doing it for years in the army. I looked at both of their faces seeing so much resemblance even though Luke looks so much like Helen.
