The truth behind the silence

Chapter One: Loneliness at Privet Drive

Harry sat down on his bed. He didn't know what to do. He had done all his homework weeks ago and was now starting to get bored. He didn't feel like annoying Dudley, his cousin. Probably for the first time of his life he didn't want to bother Dudley. He hadn't been out the house for five days and he really didn't felt like going out either. All he wanted to do was to look at the picture of his parent's wedding once more and see in the corner of the picture his godfather, Sirius Black. Harry had met and known Sirius for three years and he had lost him a month ago. He hadn't spoken to anyone about him. Hermione was sending him some long letters in order to cheer him up talking about the weather in France , or Victor's new haircut but Harry knew quite well that she really wanted to ask him how he was coping with his godfather's death. Ron, on the other hand, had told him everything will be all right.
Harry had received the usual Hogwarts letters with all the school supplies. However, for the first time since he knew he was a wizard, he didn't want to go back at Hogwarts. A lot of things reminded him of Sirius: the Shrieking Schak where he saw Sirius for the first time, even Quidditch reminded him of Sirius.
So Harry took out from his pocket the picture of his parent's wedding and was searching for Sirius who had disappeared from the photo.
Why did Sirius had to leave when Harry needed him so much.
«Padfoot, why did you left us? » cried Harry.
At this same moment, Petunia Dursley's voice raged from the kitchen.
«Potter!!! Dinner!!! »

Harry wasn't hungry. All he wanted to do was to take his Firebolt and fly, fly and never come back in this world.
«I'm calling you twice; if you don't come I will give your meal to Dudley. » screamed Aunt Petunia.
But Harry didn't move. He was very tired because he hadn't slept for days. Harry wanted to talk to someone who knew Sirius, who could tell him everything about him. But all the people who really knew Sirius Black were dead or gone to the wrong side. Of course there was Lupin, but Harry thought Lupin had enough problems of his own and he didn't want to disturb him.
Suddenly his bedroom's door opened.
«What's wrong, Harry? » Petunia spoke to Harry in a very gentle voice. It was a voice Harry had never heard before.
«Nothing.....no nothing» he didn't want to talk about his godfather's death with his aunt. He wanted her to go away.
«No...I don't believe you» she simply said.
«Who died? » she asked. Harry didn't know how she managed to guess. He didn't answer. But his aunt didn't look like she was going to get out before he told her who had died.
«My godfather, Sirius Black. » he said.
«I am sorry, I really am...» she said and then went out closing the door after her.
Harry decided that he really wanted to know what was going on in the wizard world so he took a piece of paper and wrote a letter to Remus Lupin.
