Blaine followed close behind Kurt as they trudged through the small park adjacent Blaine's house. Kurt had called him early that Sunday morning, warning him to be ready for an afternoon of fun together. He wasn't sure what to expect but it was clear, sunny day and Blaine thought of nothing better to do then to spend it with his boyfriend.

"Do you want me to take that?" Blaine motioned towards the Marc Jacobs tote Kurt seemed to be struggling to keep on his shoulder.

"I'm fine, we're almost there"

"You scouted this place"

"I demand perfection in everything I do, so yes"

"Fine then"

They walked along, straying from the path into a small clearing on the edge of grove of trees. A light breeze blew through, keeping the temperature hot, yet bearable.

"We're here" Kurt motioned as he set the bag down.

"So what's in the bag then?"

"Patience" He rolled his eye as he reached in the bag and pulled out a red and white checkered picnic blanket. "We're having a cliché picnic in the park"

Blaine nodded in agreement, "I approve"

They sat down as Kurt brought out their lunch of chicken salad sandwiches, orange juice, and strawberry tarts. All homemade of course. Once they had finished eating, Kurt handed Blaine a copy of Water for Elephants.

"I know it's on your summer reading list, and the summer's almost over, so go, read"

Blaine smiled, "Thank you. What are you going to do?"

Kurt moved his bag to reveal a stack of fashion magazines, the most likely cause for the heaviness of his bag, "I will plan for fall"

A naughty thought flicked through Blaine head, and for once he decided to act on it. He turned and lowered himself so that he was lying down, head resting in Kurt's lap. He grabbed his book and flipped it open. Kurt tensed at first, but then eventually relaxed, placing his magazine beside him, glancing over it lazily. His hand rested on Blaine's head, absentmindedly twirling around his hair.

"You comfy there Blaine?"

"Yup"

They sat there together, enjoying the intimacy they shared that didn't involve being all over each other, but simply from being close. Kurt began to hum, reminded of a song he had seen mentioned in a magazine.

"As time goes by, so slowly. And time can do so much. Are you still—" He stopped suddenly as Blaine looked up at him from his book. "I'm sorry. It just popped in my head"

"You know how much I hate that song since my sister put my iPod on repeat when I fell asleep during out last road trip. Do you know how annoying it is to have that song stuck in your head for weeks straight?"

"I'm so sorry. I didn't forget. It was just there, they were talking about Demi Moore and it popped in my head"

"I'll forgive you but only if because my hatred of that song is rivalled by my love of your voice"

"I'll sing something else?"

"Please do"

Hello again. I see you've found the next installment of the Sunday Drabble Series. I'm still learning and still hoping to grow so any and all comments are appreciated. Just a reminder, I don't own Glee or Kurt and Blaine. If I did, I'd banish all keyboards and have made the kiss a heck of a lot longer. Love and snuggles, Minnie :D
