Author's Note
: I always wondered if Greece's mother saw certain events unfold and thought about it.

Hellas has had her share of countries she should be wary of. She does not know why she must remain on her guard 24/7 but it gives her peace to know that she must at least know what to do to defend herself against the unknown.

It was always a challenge to protect herself from the male countries. They were ruthless in their quest to conquer her and she has a feeling that her son will be the target of their greed for more land.

She is wary of the future and powerless to stop it as she watches it unfold.

She is wary.

Wary when her long time friend Egypt coughs up blood, growing weaker while her newborn son Gupta grew stronger.

Wary when she sees Germania stare at Rome with barely controlled hate and murder.

Wary when she watches Germania's red-eyed grandson race around and grow stronger day by day.

But when she feels the eyes of Turkey on her and her son, sharp, keen and unblinking as she politely nods to him and grips the hand of Heracles a little tighter when she passes the Turk, Hellas has a new definition for wariness.

And given the circumstances, she can't say she's surprised.

The Turk has the eyes of a powerful conqueror.

Hellas has a terrible feeling that she won't be around much longer to protect her son.
