I am Optimus Prime, current
Leader of Autobot forces.
I was created Orion Pax, and soon caught in the torrent
Of a revolution, headed by the gladiator Megatronus.
I saw the Autobot Council as oppressive
And understood that inequality's rule was excessive,
I believe the impoverished should not be hated
Merely to find our avarices sated.
When Megatron's Decepticons seceded
And war ran rampant,
A single victory was all either side needed.
It dragged into an eternal, adamant,
Stalemate that leeched soldiers and souls from
Both sides, until only a sparse population remained, under Earth's sun.
