OMG I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATING AT ALLLLLLL! I really am! But when you're me and have volleyball games twice a week, and tournaments every other weekend… Then you have family bowling… It's hectic… I'm so sorry. But, today I am strictly writing. I have a new chapter of I Promise coming up. And then this! I have yet to finish TLS… I can't stand to see it end yet… Anyway… This is a remake of the crawl-space scene… ;)
Disclaimer: Uh… Yeah…. I OWN NOTHING
I flipped onto my back and tried using my hands to push myself up. When I couldn't get a grip, I rolled onto my side, then twisted and squirmed until I was on my knees.
There. At least I could inch forward. If I could make it to the other side of the crawl space, I could bang on the door, get someone's attention. It would be slow going, but—
"Chloe?"
A man's voice. Dr. Davidoff? I tried to answer, but could only make a muffled "uh-uh" sound.
"…your name…Chloe…"
As the voice drew near, and I recognize it, the hairs on my arms went up. The basement ghost. I blocked the voice as well as I could and it turned into a murmur in the background.
I braced myself and looked around, knowing even as that I couldn't see anything in this blackness. The weird thing, I saw a rectangular beam thing of light for a split second, then it blacked out, drawing in all dark with it.
I heard a scuffle of fabric with the darkness. Hearing that, I flipped. Ghost don't make noise. And I certainly heard noise.
I released a muffled scream, and heard the fabric speed up. Another scream, and a tremor rocked the crawl space. I heard a deep rumbled curse, followed by a thud as something moved again… This caused me to panic more and I tried moving forward… As I did, the bindings around my wrists moved, loosening. I moved my arms apart, pulling my hands out of the knots.
I tried to quickly get my legs apart, but as I did, another tremor. I heard another curse, and more fabric scraping against fabric.
Using my hands to brace myself, I stopped working on my feet and starting forward again, just dragging my feet. I had built up some speed now that I could move my arms and pull myself. And I kept going and going until, I hit a wall.
That wall, of course, was warm, unlike others. It was also not a wall. There was a faint glow of light from the door oh so many feet back, and I could partially see who, or what, was in front of me.
They could obviously tell I was what they were searching for.
A hand reached for me, and I scampered back a little.
A sigh. "Chloe…"
I made a muffled scream… One: because I knew that voice to well to want them to be the one to "rescue" me. And two: because… I don't know.
Derek reached for me again, this time, grabbing the tape that was around my mouth and yanking it off. "Chloe. Hush."
I screamed again… This time, I didn't cut off. I just kept screaming.
He hesitated for a moment, then made a snap decision. How did I know it was a snap decision? I could see it in the gleam of his eyes.
What was that snap decision? He leaned forward. And… He kissed me. He kissed me, cutting off my screams to a muffled sound until, finally, I decided to give in.
Something in me snapped. I quit screaming, and kissed him back.
Okay, so here's this… Ima work on IP now… And hopefully, get that up today… TLS will probably never be finished… At least for a long time…
