An Analyzation of the Names and History of Ancelstierre

NOTE: this is all based on a strong assumption.it may just be coincidence.

After reading Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen, I realized it has many relationships to information in J.R.R. Tolkein's "The Silmarillion", which is the last and first book he wrote about Middle-Earth. This article puts together the two places, and shows a lot more than I thought it would.

Part One: The History

In Sabriel, the world began with the nine original Charters, Ranna, Saraneth, Astrael, Dyrim, Belgaer, Mosrael, Kibeth, Yrael, and Orannis. Orannis was evil, and destroyed many worlds with no cause. He had an assistant or follower, Yrael (more widely known as Mogget). Orannis wanted to destroy the world, but Yrael didn't, so Yrael left his services , yet Yrael reused to join the other Charters, and was bound to the service of the Abhorsen as punishment. Charters in binding Orannis. Orannis was not destroyed but simply locked up for thousands and thousands of years, until the time in which the book Abhorsen takes place. In the history of Middle-Earth according to "The Silmarillion", there was an all powerful being, Illúvatar (also known as Eru). Illúvatar created the Ainur, and from the Ainur came the fifteen Valar, Manwë, Ulmo, Aulë, Oromë, Mandos, Lórien, Tulkas, and Melkor (the Lords of the Valar-Melkor is no longer considered one of the Valar). The Ladies of the Valar are Barda, Yavanna, Nienna, Estë, Vairë, Vána, and Nessa. Of all the Valar, Melkor was the strongest, for he was Illúvatar's favorite. Melkor became evil, and although he was banished, his servants still lived (Sauron was a servant of Melkor).
