Dinosaurs and Queens

I enjoyed writing 'What I Couldn't Give You' so much, I decided to write a series of Amy/Rory moments. I'm doing one for each episode. When I finish Series 7 (I don't want them to go!) I will probably do Series 5 and 6 aswell- enjoy! This is an extra scene from the brilliant 'Dinosaurs on a Spaceship'!

"Are you alright?" Brian asked his son Rory after they had run away from Pterodactyls.

"Yeah, I'm fine." he replied quickly, but he wasn't. That dinosaur bite HURT. He never expected to be bitten by a dinosaur but now he knows he doesn't want it to happen again. It would be just as bad as being licked by one. He hoped that wouldn't happen.

"Just a quick teleport to check on the others! Geronimo!" the Doctor exclaimed as he hit the rock on inside of the cave. They disappeared and quickly were back in the company of Amy, Riddell and Nefertiti. They all explained what had happened to them all and Amy felt proud to have worked it out when she noticed Rory in the corner of the room rubbing his shoulder. She expected Brian to notice him, but he was too caught up with the whole atmosphere of the ship.

She walked cautiously over to him and as soon as he noticed her and stood upright, pretending everything was fine.

"You okay?" she asked him, obviously concerned.

"Fine...yeah, fine..." Rory replied. Amy knew when her husband was lying.

"Let me see."

He didn't respond.

"Rory, let me see..."

"You know I'm a nurse, don't you?"

"Not a very good one by the looks of it. Come on. Don't blame me for caring..."

She had that glint in her eye. The glint that meant she knew he'd give in; it was just a matter of time. He loved that glint; it was one of the many things he loved about her. Defeated, he rolled down his top to see his shoulder. It was scratched and there was a little blood.

"What the-?"

"Pterodactyl. They're not very nice."

She laughed at that. She loved how he made her laugh. She reached into his pocket and pulled out his nursing kit.

"Is this the painkiller?"

"You having to ask me that worries me greatly...but yes, it is."

"This WON'T hurt." She said reassuringly. However, it did.

"I lied." She snapped.

"...I might use that!" Rory said.

"One last thing..." Amy said gently before kissing the wound. She looked up at him with a smile. He smiled back.

"You are royalty, you know that?" he told her.

"Well, I am your Queen. Definitely yours, not the Doctor's."

She paused and remembered what she said to Queen Nefertiti.

"Forget I said that..."

"I don't think I will..."

"Oh great."

Rory laughed and kissed her again. She carefully pulled his shirt back to normal and hugged him. Their romantic moment was interrupted when the Doctor ran over to them.

"Ponds! Right then, Amy, it seems you're doing a good job; I'll leave you to it. Rory, you may need to help me. Don't worry; your dad's coming to! His balls might come in handy."

"WHAT?" Amy gasped.

"Golf balls." Rory whispered in her ear and kissed her goodbye.

Quick as a flash, the Doctor, Rory and Brian were back in the cave when they heard huge banging noises approaching. Then, two rusting yellow robots appeared.

"We're very cross with you!" One of them said.

That was only the beginning...
