Why does it seem that every time I open the door to Ziva's residence, I'm unwelcome? She opened the door and pointed a loaded weapon at me! Though, in her defense, what she was doing needed drastic protection measures.
But why McGee? Wasn't I the one who chased her halfway across the earth, believing I was avenging her? Was it not I who stayed with her in Paris? Who let her stay in my apartment when this mess began? Who was trapped in the elevator with her for god knows how many hours? We are supposed to be open books to each other, but she keeps tearing out pages and hiding them behind her walls.
Is it my fault for not putting two-and-two together? Should I have been two steps ahead of her, because I supposedly know her so well? Of course Gibbs knew...but why can I not figure out my own partner half the time? She says she was going to tell me, but isn't that what everyone says when they are caught doing something they shouldn't be?
We may be reading the same book, but she is a good 4 chapters ahead of me.
