Marinette sighed as she paced across her balcony restlessly-she just couldnt settle herself- She rested on the balcony rails, looking out into the lit up skyline of Paris. She heaved a sigh, before growing alert as she heard a scuff, she turned abruptly.
"Whoa there purrincess!" crooned Chat, as she held up his hands in movk defeat.
Marinette sighed once more, before scowling at the leather clad pun-maker. "Chat, you really shouldnt sneak up on people- And don't call me 'purrincess' "
Chat frowned briefly as he swiftly stepped to her side, "Whats wrong prin- Marinette?" he corrected, leaning on the rails as she gazed out.
He recieved no reply.
"Mari?"
Marinette shook her head, smiling nervously, "Oh nothing. Just, nothing..." she faltered, sighing again.
"Doesn't look like nothing to me, " Chat remarked casually, crossing his arms in suspicion.
Marinette scoffed, "And when did you become captain obvious?" she retorted, smirking slightly.
Chat felt the corner of his lips lift into a smirk, there she is. "Oh not long ago, but seeing you frown, it ruins your purrfect complexion."
Marinette rolled her eyes once more, before growing sullen. "No more ouns, silly kitty." she muttered, looking away.
Chat was struck silent, he raised an eyebrow. Ladybug calls me that. He hummed, still trying to figure out what her deal was.
"Don't think to hard chaton, you might hurt yourself."
Chat mock frowned, "Oh," he flopped over the rail dramatically, "You wound me."
Marinette laughed softly, "Alright, you win."
Chats ears perked, "Ah Whats wrong Mari, you seem down in the dumps."
Marinette breathed, Should i tell him? She looked out again, "It's this boy I like."
Chat tilted his head as he listened to her- Someone she likes-Alot, doesn't return it. Boy do i know the feeling, Chat thought wryly.
"-And now... I don't know anymore..." Marinetted finished exasperatedly, before shaking her head, "Why would he like me anyway, I'm not some amazing model or the daughter of a mayor." she muttered weakly.
Chat frowned at her words, "Hey, don't put yourself down like that, your amazing as you are, and if this guys doesnt see that, then maybe he isn't the one."
Marinette smiled, He really does care, and Ladybug denies his feelings, she frowned, internally hitting herself, But I like Adrien, Chat is just my- Ladybug's partner.
"What about Ladybug? If she doesn't see how kind and caring you are, maybe she usn't the one." Marinette grumbled, feeling awfully self-conscious at the moment.
Chat pulled out his staff, hearing the beeping that signaled him it was time to go. He smiled wanky, bowing before her. As he crouched in the rail he glanced back at her. She looked almost exoectantly, he winked.
"I love her anyways."
He leapt off the rails, dissapearing unti the nught, Marinette closed her eyes, Silly chat.
