"Mom, why did you marry dad?"
Juvia's five years old daughter sudden and unexpected question almost made her choke on her glass of water. She cough and wiped her mouth. She needed to think fast to give her daughter the answer that she wanted to hear.
"Because mom loved dad?" She answered, almost sounded like she questioned her own answer.
"Did mom just ask Sasha if mom loved dad?" Sasha sounded sad and dissatisfied with her answer which prompted Juvia to convince her daughter, "No. Mom loves your dad, more than anything else. Mom made this choice, and mom couldn't be happier than today." She sounded sure this time, and even manage a happy smile. Not everything she said was true, though.
Sasha grinned. "Really? Mom loves dad a lot?"
"Of course. Otherwise, why would mom marry daddy in the first place? Ok, now go back to sleep," Juvia said with a big smile.
Sasha nodded her head, "Ok, thanks mom. Sasha loves mom and dad."
Juvia kissed her on forehead before she turned off the light. "Good night, sweetheart," she whispered gently before she stepped out of Sasha's room.
She then went back to her bedroom, and breathed a sigh of relief. If only Sasha knew the reason she married Natsu…

Juvia was twenty-nine at that time when all of her friends had settled down with their partners and had kids. Almost all the female wizards in Fairy Tail were either married with kids or had fiancé. The only single female wizards were Juvia and Cana. The only difference was Cana was taking it easy. She didn't have any pressure to get married soon. She was still enjoying her single life. While Juvia was so ready to settle down. But Gray was still Gray. He might be thirty at that time, but he never communicated his feeling towards her and left her hanging. Sometimes he would act as if she were his woman. But most of the time he was acting as if she were just nakama, and no more than that. Juvia felt the relationship was not going anywhere. She was confused with his mixed signals. Whenever she asked him if he loved her, he simply answered, "you know I always do." But Juvia didn't feel like he meant it, and he barely showed it if he loved her.
It had been like this for the past six years, and she didn't know how long she had to wait. Frustrated with her circumstances, she dumped all of her woes to Natsu, a man that she knew Gray trusted the most.
"Gray-sama doesn't love Juvia, does he?" she asked with tears welling in the corner of her eyes.
"No, he loves you Juv. That guy just doesn't know how to show it," Natsu quickly answered.
"But he ignores Juvia all the time. He barely asks Juvia out, and it's always Juvia who has to ask him out. Juvia is tired, Natsu-san. Juvia wants to settle down. Juvia is afraid that this relationship would not go anywhere for another five years."
Natsu raised his brow. "Five years? What's with the number?"
"Juvia wants to get married before she's thirty-five. Juvia wants a family."
"Hey, how about this, if by thirty-four you and I are both still single, we'll get married," Natsu grinned.
Juvia's eyes widened and she looked at Natsu as if he was crazy. "What? Is Natsu-san insane?!" She almost yelled. She desperately wanted to have a family before she was thirty-five, and this guy was taking it as a joke.
Natsu chuckled. "Hey, I am not kidding Juvia. You youself said it, you wanted to get married before thirty-five. You and I both know each other for very long time. So why don't we marry one another if we are still single when you reach thirty-four?"
Then her face and her voice turned angry, "You are so unbelievable." Before Natsu could answer her, she stormed out of the guild.
But little did she know at that time that she would say wedding vow for Natsu.

A/N: I don't intend to write the multi-chapters. It's just too much of commitment to write multi-chapters. Hence, it's just the collection of one-shot Navia's married life, but this chapter is just the introduction of how they got married. Thanks for reading. Reviews are appreciated.
