A/N: I've always wondered why George never went after the twins when they decided to hop a train bound for London instead of Crawley after they completed their mission in Croydon. I know it's insignificant to the story line, but I thought of one possible scenario.

I am not a writer and like so many others, this is my first attempt at an AC story, so be gentle.

Characters, story line, everything AC related belongs to Ubisoft.

George,

By the time you receive and read this note, I am most certain that you will have already learned of both Jacobs and my decision not to return home after our recent trip to Croydon.

While we acknowledge and understand the repercussions of going against yours and the Councils decision to wait, to be patient, that now is not the time to strike, we both feel that our youth and particular skill set could be better put to use, elsewhere. Somewhere where we can make a difference.

So with nothing left for us in Crawley, we decided to make our way to London.

The matter of the growing Templar presence and the oppression against London's very citizens, needs to stop. Must be stopped!

I am pretty sure that at this very moment, you are beyond furious with our brash decision, and rightfully so. I would also not be surprised if you were berating us as you read this, asking Father where you went wrong in such a short period of time since his passing. Perhaps you are in turmoil as to whether or not you should head into London and drag us merciless back, by the scruff of our necks, to be reprimanded by the Council and stripped of our rank. Or you're simply wishing to leave us to our own demise.

But George, we have the same fiery passion and ambitious desire to succeed, coursing through our veins, just as father had. Our dreams are many, our hearts, big. We are impulsive, and maybe even a little reckless at times, but perhaps that is just what London needs. And if anyone should understand this, it would have to be you.

If we succeed, we succeed. If we don't, at least we will go down fighting for our cause, knowing we tried to make a difference in the world. But whatever the end result may be, we cannot sit idly by any longer, knowing what is going on and doing nothing about it. After all, what would the point have been for you and Father to teach us the ways of the Creed, from such an early age, if we were going to do nothing but grow old waiting for the Council to make a decision on such matters. The time is now!

Perhaps this is exactly what Jacob and myself need if we are to grow as assassins, as adults. To spread our wings. And perhaps this is the stupidest thing we've ever done, but we will never know if we don't at least try.

But believe me when I say, that this was not decided upon just to anger you or undermine your teachings. I know that you will have to face the Council, to try and answer the questions regarding Ethans' uncontrollable and selfish children that had been left in your care, and I apologize deeply. But I truly believe that fate has set a different plan for Jacob and myself. Different from that of the Councils.

You and Father have taught us well though, George. Please remember that. We may not have said it in the past, but Jacob and I will be forever grateful for the knowledge and skills that you both have instilled in us. We are not that arrogant. But now comes the real test.

We know that there will be many tough challenges ahead. Choices that will be difficult to make. Situations that will push us to the brink and test our resolve, as individuals, as siblings, and as assassins. But rest assure, no matter how big or how small, the unique bond that ties us together as brother and sister, as twins, Jacob and I will always have each others back.

Please don't come looking for us, but instead trust in our abilities. And once the iron grip of the Templar order is no more, we will speak again, I promise you.

Until then, do wish us luck

Evie F.
