Half a league, half a league, half a league onward,
All into the castle of Toffee
Rode the princess and crew.
"Forward, Butterfly Brigade!"
"Let's save Marco!" she said:
Into the castle of Toffee
Rode the princess and crew.
"Forward, Butterfly Brigade!"
Was there anyone dismayed?
Not though the monsters knew
For them, Toffee waited:
Theirs not to make
Theirs not to reason why
Theirs but to do and possibly die:
Into the castle of Toffee
Rode the princess and crew.
Minions to the right of them,
Minions to the left of them,
Minions in front of them.
Growl'd and flail'd;
Storm'd at with magical spells,
Boldly Toffee's minions held,
'Till one by one, they fell.
To the precipice of the cage
Rode the princess and crew.
Flash'd the crystal all around;
Flash'd as Star turned on the ground,
Blasting the crystal there,
Charging forward, while
All the monsters watch'd:
Plunged in the crystal cell
Right through the hole she broke;
Marco Diaz, the Safe Kid
Reel'd from this magical stroke,
And embraced his magical friend.
They tried to ride back, but not
Before the crystal had seal'd.
Minions to the right of them,
Minions to the left of them,
Toffee in front of them
Growl'd and flail'd;
With a cry and hot salty tears,
Star was forced to destroy the magical wand
That she had used so well.
Yet from the wand came a great energy slash,
Destroying the castle in a tremendous flash,
Back from the mouth of Hell
Came the princess and crew.
When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All of Mewni and Earth wondered.
Honor the charge they made,
Honor the Butterfly Brigade,
Noble princess, safe kid, and crew.
