I am Prince Illusion, master of black magic, and I am here to tell you my story. Up until now, it has been a mystery. The first thing you should know is that I am alone. I have been for some time now, and I'm content.
It all started back in Trixter Town. At the time I couldn't do any kind of magic, bear in mind. I don't recall being born there, or ever having parents. Everybody said that I just appeared one day. They all ran, I remember that. I still continue to have no idea why, but what could I do? I overlooked my surroundings and saw a dark passageway on my left. I entered it with no sence of fear or anxiety, only a need for some sort of shelter.
But that's when I saw it.
No one else was around, but a shadow was on the wall. A girl, ,definitely, but just a shadow. Curiousity emerged from within me, and I couldn't help but approach her. "He- hello...?" I stared at her before she began to wave. "You can understand me?" She nodded in reply. "How about speaking? Can you talk?" The shadow shook her head.
I sat down beside her, and looked up at her. The mysterious shadow glanced back down at me before sitting down beside me. It would be hard to manage, and we couldn't communicate properly, but we had a friendship.
I used to talk to her about everything, and she would listen to it all. I'd supprt her and she'd support me. It was simple, mutual, companionship... I never thought the end would come so swiftly...
I'd never seen anything like it before. It was such a small creature; a tiny little puffball. It seemed to be so innocent and approachable, and a lot of people fell for it. People began to draw closer to the strange creature, and what happened then? Well, the strange pink creature pulled out a guitar and strongly strummed it, creating what could be described as a supersonic sound blast. This blast created an earthquake, and everything around me began to collapse.
Windows smashed, walls fell down, people screamed... all the time I stayed with the shadow. But then, together, we ran. It was kind of awkward, since we had to stick to the walls, but we continued... until the wall ended.
I tried as best I could to keep the wall up, but then I saw the shadow put out her hand as a signal for me to stop. "But what about you!" I yelled over the racket. Then, using her hands, she spelt out three letters: R, U, N.
"No!" I screamed, but then she just did the same. R, U, N. She used her hands to make a heart shape, and that was the last I ever saw of her. The wall began to collapse and, as muich as I was regretting to do so, I had no choice but to retreat. The tears that fell down my face felt as cold as ice, but I had to run.
After that horrifying event, the whole town was destroyed. Only a few survived, I among them, but they all fled. I suddenly had no one to tell my story to anymore...
