A/N: Written for Fire The Canon's 1 Character, 1 prompt challenge. Enjoy :)

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter

I set the heavy box down on the brand new couch and sighed. "That was the last one!" I called to my husband who was in the other room.

"Thank Merlin." Seamus Finnigan said, striding into the room. "I never thought moving would be so exhausting."

I kissed is forehead. "It's not over yet. We still have to unpack."

"Can we do it tomorrow?" he said in his cute little whine. "I have to go into the office. We're so busy right now with the Quidditch World Cup less then a month away." Seamus was the head of the Department of Magical Games and Sports and this was his first big event.

I gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "You go in. I'll do a little bit tonight, ok?"

"Are you sure? I could call in sick and help." He said unsure.

I waved him off. "Go. I'll be fine."

He smiled and kissed me goodbye before he apperated away.

I walked to the couch and opened the box I had brought in. I've never seen the contents before. Well I have but I'm not sure what it was.

A week before the move my mother had come by with a couple of boxes from home. It was just all of the stuff that I had left behind in the room I shared with her.

As I opened the box, tears welled in my eyes. At the very top was the thing I had missed the most from home.

A picture frame.

It was pink with little flowers that changed every day. When winter came they were barren, and when spring came, new buds appeared and bloomed.

She had enchanted it for my Christmas gift in 3rd year.

"Here." I remember her saying. "This is for you to always remember me. Even when we're old and gray, with little grandkids running around, 50 miles away from each other. We will always remember."

I fingered the word carved into the wooden frame.

Sisters.

The tears slipped over.

In the frame was a picture of me and her during the summer before 4th year. It was the picture of she and I at our lake house. I had pushed her into the water and while I was laughing, she dragged me in with her. It was my favorite memory.

She used to bug me about how I never put a picture in the frame. I would tell her that I was waiting for the right moment. And there it was. Perfect proof of the love we had between us.

Another tear slipped down. I missed her. I missed her more than anything else in the world. It wasn't fair.

I closed my eyes and the images flashed behind my eyelids. A duel. Colored light flashing everywhere. And from behind, a green one struck her. I didn't even have time to help her. I was fighting my own death eater.

I opened my eyes. I still had the scars of the final battle at Hogwarts. Some external, some internal. But that one was the largest of all. I didn't just lose her, I lost a part of me that could never be returned.

My sister. My best friend. My twin.

I miss you Padma.

A/N: I know that Padma never died but for the purpose of the story she is dead. So what did you think? Review! Oh and if you couldn't guess my character was Parvati and my prompt was picture frame
