From the First Battle
Chapter 1
Alexus Tengarin Sydney woke up on a sunny, but cloudy morning. Looking around her was a room covered in posters of Scizor looking slightly mad. Alexus was 12, but still hadn't become a Pokemon trainer, due to their Professor, all the way in Sandgem town was in Kanto, being an idiot. She got out of bed, rubbing her aching head. Today was going to be the day she would finally get a Pokemon, but Rowan was in Hoenn, waiting for a train.
She had a shower, brushed her teeth and brushed her medium long dark red hair and put on her Club Nintendo cap, her blue contacts, her red and white t-shirt (with a small Scizor on the front pocket),her black jacket, dark gray trousers and her new white sneakers.
She ran downstairs and grabbed the bowl of cornflakes her mom had left out for her and sat down to watch TV. She flicked through the channels till she got to the PokeNews channel, where there was a News Report.
"Pokemon Professor James Rowan has now returned back into Sinnoh. Our report te-" As much as I would like to continue the report, Alexus had just ran out of the door, grabbing her cream shoulder bag as she left.
She leapt onto her bike and tapped a couple of buttons on her GPS. From Canalave city she had to travel south-east to Sandgem in less than an hour. She rode along the path, past the library and next to the bridge, as she accelerated, the bridge came up to allow a boat through. Alexus narrowed her eyes and rode up the separated bridge and tried to get to the other side. As the boat passed, Alexus and her bike fell though the gap and into the water.
"Oh, crap." She said as she grabbed onto the edge of the other path and got up, hauling her bike onto the path, checking if her GPS was broken… nope it wasn't.
She remounted her bike and restarted riding, now at a lower pace and went through the gate, flashing her residents pass at the gate keeper.
She jumped across the rocks to get to Jubilife, and then took a train to Sandgem.
An hour later she burst into Rowan's lab, slightly damp but fine. She walked up to Rowan.
"Please could I have my starter Pokemon because I'm 12 and you weren't there to give me one when I was 10." She explained.
Rowan smiled. He turned away and thought as he looked through his lab.
"Hmm… a young girl who has not yet got a Pokemon… I know what I'll give her." He thought. He looked around then gave Alexus an egg.
Alexus weakly grinned then walked out, throwing the egg behind her.
As she remounted her bike, she thought that she can catch a wild Pokemon with her dad's Lucario.
As she rode off the egg hatched into a Scyther, and jumped onto Alexus's bike, toppling it over and knocking it into a Poke Ball which was in her bag, immediately capturing it.
Alexus looked around and saw the Scyther get captured in her Poke Ball. She looked at the egg closely and saw a Scyther paw print and smiled at the Poke Ball… Her adventure had begun.
