Juliet slowly blinked awake at three in the morning. She had run into her cousin's room that evening, scared of the storm outside, and flopped down next to him in his bed with no explanation. "Hello," Tybalt had said drily as he wrapped an arm around her. She snuggled up to him and fell asleep fairly quickly after that. Now, the storm was still raging outside, and she was drowsy, so she grabbed Tybalt's hand and tried to fall back asleep. "I hate storms," she muttered to herself. They were too loud, everything was wet, she couldn't sleep with lightning just outside the-wait. Juliet sat up and moved the sheets, carefully patting the mattress. Tybalt shivered slightly, and Juliet took in the puddle underneath her older cousin's hips, the stain on his crotch and down his thighs. "Oh," she whispered, feeling her face heat up.

She laid awake for quite a while, considering her options. She could wake Tybalt up and tell him he'd wet the bed, but that wasn't the best idea. He'd never so much as frowned in her direction before, but she knew her cousin's temper. Even though he would never yell at his baby cousin, he'd be angrier than usual the next day, and start approximately all of the fights. She could go back to sleep and pretend she hadn't noticed, or she could take the blame. None of these options appealed to Juliet, so eventually she said "fuck it" and went with option two by default.

The next morning, Juliet woke to someone roughly shaking her shoulder. "Go 'way. Lemme sleep forever." "Julie!" Juliet opened her eyes and looked up at her panicked cousin, who had apparently changed his clothes and showered. The sheets were still wet. "Need something...?" "I pissed the bed last night," Tybalt muttered, looking at Juliet's forehead rather than her eyes. "I'll help clean it up." Several minutes later, Juliet and Tybalt were sitting on the bare mattress, looking at their hands to avoid conversation. They had flipped the mattress to hide the fairly large stain, and since there was no way to get to the laundry room without disturbing anyone, they had simply shoved the wet sheets and pajamas under Tybalt's bed. "Someone's bound to notice," Tybalt said suddenly. "No one will notice as long as you put everything in the wash tonight." "But they'll wonder why there aren't any sheets on the-" "Close your door and they won't see inside."

There was another long silence, until Juliet scooched over to her cousin and squirmed onto his lap. "Hello," she said as she rested her head against his chest. Tybalt said nothing (a first for him) and hesitantly wrapped his arms around Juliet. "You're warm," she informed him cheerfully. "Thanks. You are, too." "Also, just so you know, you smelled like a hamster this morning. A hamster that needed it's cage cleaned." Tybalt laughed. "Hamsters are natures greatest warriors, Juliet. That's an important life lesson. Don't fuck with hamsters." They stayed like that for a while. "I won't tell anyone," Juliet promised quietly. "Thanks."
