For the past three days Emily had been sleeping on the couch. JJ had finally gotten sick of her constant back chatting and rude comments to the other team members. Emily of course though she was being punished for nothing back accepted the fact that she could hold JJ through out the night.
Emily heard JJ come down the stairs, she sighed heavily. She knew JJ wouldn't be up this late if she didn't have a nightmare. She followed JJ silently to the kitchen and wrapped her arms around her but jumped back when JJ turned around with a knife in her right hand. "Hey, it's just me jayje, what are you doing up so late?" asked Emily, "couldn't sleep, had another nightmare." JJ yawned as she put the knife down, embarrassment and fear clear in her voice.
"I could come and lay with you until you're asleep, if that would help" Emily said wishing JJ would allow it, god she hated JJ being alone. JJ was relieved, she hated the idea of going back to the empty room by herself, "that would be great, thanks em" after JJ got her self a glass of water they went upstairs to the bedroom, "do you want to talk about it?" Emily asked. JJ sighed shook her head. Emily sighed but let it go. "If you ever want to talk JJ…" Emily started "I know Em, I can talk to you". Emily rubbed JJ's back and it wasn't long before JJ was in a light sleep.
After twenty minutes of peaceful sleep for JJ, Emily slowly moved JJ's head from her shoulder as she got up and silently made her way to the door, "goodnight Jenifer, i love you" Emily said as she opened the door and took a step before hearing her name, "em?" it was JJ "yeah baby, I'm right here, what's wrong?" Emily was worried JJ might be having another bad dream. "I'm sorry I kicked you to the couch, will you come back to bed?"
Emily was so glad she had finally been invited back to the bed and was even more happy that she would be with JJ, "sure" was all that was said before Emily slipped into bed, wrapped her arms around the waiting woman and watched as the blond drifted off to an undisturbed sleep, and soon slipped into one herself.
