I threw a gum wrapper at Crystal. Crystal, Lisa, and I, Jessica are all friends.
"Who threw that?" Crystal asked. Lisa looked at me and started laughing. This is something that we might do in our 9th grade algebra class. Most of the time, this class was boring. The room had rows of six with about seven desks in each. We have those desks that are chairs…they're both.
"Jessica, I don't feel like working." Lisa told me. A girl that just recently joined our class, Cassandra walked slowly to her seat which was in my row, in front of me and next to Crystal and Lisa. She has a hospital stamped envelope in her hand that she was holding close to her stomach. Lisa watched her closely until she sat. She turned to me and asked,
"Is she pregnant?" I replied with a shrug.
"I'll ask her…" I said laughing. "Are you pregnant or are you fat?" I said still laughing, Lisa joined in. (I didn't really ask her that I was joking around with Lisa.) As soon as Cassandra got up to go talk to her friend, I saw her stomach. I realized that Lisa wasn't lying. A few minutes later the bell rang and everyone got up and left except for Lisa, Cassandra, and I. We saw Cassandra's envelope left on her seat. A rush of thoughts went through my mind… I turned to Crystal but she was already out the door. I turned to Lisa and asked her if I should take the envelope.
"Yeah" Lisa replied hurriedly. But before I could snatch up the note, a boy from the next class came in and sat on it.
"Wait, wait…" he looked up at me, "let me get that note that you're sitting on." He got up and I took the mystery note from the chair. Then I ran out to catch up with Lisa who was already in the hallway.
"Open it!" Lisa yelled.
"No, I don't want to this is hers." I replied.
"Alright give it to me."
"Okay here…" I gave Lisa the mystery envelope. She peeked inside and yelped and gasped… She gasped and gasped…
"What is it!?" I asked.
What would you have done? Would you have took the envelope or left it there? Would you have even opened it? Were we too nosy? Lol please review with your answers. And to let you know, this is a short story. I think it ends next chapter…
