Dear William Haunted Sister

Disclaimer: I don't own Haunted Sister. If I did I would write a sequel.

A/N: When I wrote this I was at a doctor's appointment two hours after finishing the book. I knew that I would have to write a fanfic, seeing as the novel was so good. Then I thought about how scared William had been when Lenore, or I guess I should say Janine, was driving the car.

*~*~*

"Anna Mae, what's wrong with Lenore?"
"I don't know. But she has Janine. Lenore said that she was going to be Lenore all the time," answered Anna Mae. She snuggled against my body. "I'm scared, William. Lenore's not nice anymore."
I hugged Anna Mae tightly, showing my obvious fear. "Me, too. I want Janine."
Anna Mae nodded and looked up at me through her big glasses. Through the giant lenses her eyes were wide and fearful.
"Come on, Anna Mae. We can go climb the trees or pretend the dolls are our kids again." I smiled sadly. I really didn't like playing the doll games all that much, but I hated when Anna Mae was sad.
Anna Mae must have figured that out because she said, "Let's climb the trees."
This time I smiled for real and grabbed her hand. I tugged her gently and she followed as I ran out of the front door.
I ran to the trunk and jumped to my favorite branch. I leaned down and Anna Mae up. But while we were up there Janine and Lenore came back to my mind.
"Poop."
"What?" asked Anna Mae.
"I can't stop thinking about them."
"I know. But," she said as she hugged one handedly so she could use her other hand to keep her on the tree, "They're big girls. They will get better. Just like Janine got better after her accident."
I did the same thing in the matter of hugging. "Yeah. Older sisters always get better. Smart people always get better."
Just as I said that Janine, or Lenore, it was hard to tell at her speed, ran out of the house. My mommy was yelling after her, but she just turned and went down the sidewalk. She kept on running. Running. Running. She kept on running until I couldn't see her anymore.
"Or not," whispered Anna Mae.

A/N: I know it's short, but it's a good place to stop. I want to continue, but I might keep it as a one shot. One or two reviews that tell me to continue is all I need. If you guys want me to keep it as a one shot, that's good, too.
