Jadis and Aslan talk.
Jadis followed Aslan into the tent, where the latter had already turned waiting.
"I thought you loved your people, Aslan."
"I love all of my people Witch." Aslan growled defensively.
"He is not part of this world." Jadis reminded Him.
"But his world is part of me…I am the creator of that world as I am of this world."
"Well…love will not stop me taking his blood."
"You may be surprised witch."
"Make your choice Aslan - the boy, or the world."
Aslan growled.
"Neither. I will let no-one die when I can stop it."
"How are you going to do that Aslan - kill me?"
"No. It is not yet your time to die Jadis. Soon, but not yet."
Jadis looked taken of guard for a minute, but quickly recovered.
"What do you suggest then, oh great cat?" she mocked.
Aslan ignored this.
"I have a proposal for you that you can't refuse." He said.
"What is it?"
Aslan hesitated for a moment - he knew the witch would love what he was going to suggest.
"Let me take his place. That way, he lives, Narnia lives and you get the blood you truly seek."
"Why would you make such a sacrifice Aslan?" Jadis asked, stunned.
"I love them both, and I am ready to make sure they live."
"So love will save this boy?"
"Yes!"
"I accept your proposal Aslan - meet me tonight at twilight. There, I shall end your precious life."
With that, she stepped promptly out the tent.
Aslan followed shortly after, the tiniest fraction afraid of what he now had to face - he tried not to show this though.
"She has renounced her claim on the son-of-Adam's blood!" he called out.
Cheers erupted as the crowds celebrated.
"How do I know you promise will be kept?" Jadis called.
Furious, Aslan roared, and the witch promptly sat on her throne.
He nodded and she left.
While the crowds celebrated more, Aslan looked at his family sadly. He knew they were going to be very saddened for a while.
He felt someone watching him and glanced towards Lucy.
Then, he went back into his tent.
