Title: Why? Warnings: deathfic, angst, Miaka x Tasuki A/N: my first poem, what would happen if Miaka and Tamahome had a huge fight and she realized Tasuki was the one, but it was too late. A part of this poem was inspired by the song "Blue" from Cowboy Bebop. If you've watched the show I'm sure you'll notice it.

Why must there be pain in the world?

Why can't we all get along?

Why did he have to say those things?

I guess I'll never know.

I should have noticed earlier.

Why couldn't I see?

Why was I so blind not to know,

Love was right there protecting me?

I was so cruel to him.

Why, oh why, was I?

Maybe I was too stuck on my own self,

That I didn't see I my love was a lie.

He tore and tore at my heart.

Why did he I wonder?

He didn't seem to notice,

My heart torn asunder.

Now I see the truth,

But it's too late now.

Why did my true one have to die?

I more wonder how.

Looking into his friends eyes.

The pain he must feel.

How can this be real?

Life is no more than a dream.

I realize that now that your gone.

Why did you have to leave me?

This is so wrong.

That Tamahome wouldn't know.
