Hey everyone, it's CRSWoodferns, and this is my second attempt at writing a Pokémon fanfiction. There might be some mistakes in this, and I apologise in advance.

Te: I've never ever heard Meowth talk (the way he does in the English version, because the dub I've seen shows Meowth talking like 'normal' people). Ignore if he seems OOC.

Without further ado, let's get going.

"What do you think, Jessie? We need something to distinguish us from the other teams." James asked, crossing his arms and closing his eyes as if in deep thought.

"And from the other members of Team Rocket!" Meowth chimed in. "We are Team Rocket, the original ones, in case you've forgotten, Meowth." Jessie pointed out. "But what you're saying has a point." James nodded.

"You're right. What should it be? A song?" Jessie pondered aloud.

Mental images of them singing some made up song flashed through their heads.

"NO! YOU ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE MEOWTH'S FIVE LIVES!" Meowth jumped up, flailing his arms and screaming to prove his point.

Jessie reached out and pulled Meowth in a really tight headlock. "Leave Meowth! Leave Meowth alone!" "Not until you stop screaming!" Jessie tightened her death hold.

"Don't kill him, Jessie. He's needed." James rolled his eyes. Jessie dropped Meowth and he fell to the ground with a loud 'thump'.

"Don't cats have nine lives?" James questioned. "They do. I lost some of mine in some, eh, very interesting incidents." Meowth blushed bright red.

It didn't take a genius to figure out why the cat pokémon was blushing like crazy. Jessie and James rolled their eyes as they figured that it must've been some old 'cat-love' of Meowth's.

James realized talking to Meowth was pointless. He turned to Jessie. "No, not a song. Should we just start with our names?"

"Nah, boring. We need something extraordinary." Jessie said, shaking her head. "Maybe we should just drop the idea and just pop up in places without saying a word."

"Can Meowth speak now ?" Meowth raised a paw.

Silence.

"How about a motto?"

"Yes! Meowth you're the best! Thanks!" Jessie and James high-fived. Which was 'high' because it was out of Meowth's reach.

"Hey! What 'bout Meowth!?" Meowth cried in protest.

"You'll be last!"

The two humans ran off to their balloon to get a piece of paper and a pen, leaving behind Meowth who kept grumbling and muttering to himself about humans being untrustworthy and brainless.

Meowth suddenly grinned, and his eyes glinted with mischief. "But I won't be left out. I'll try my best to pop in between and interrupt their motto. You don't mess with me and get away with it. Meowth!"

Fin.

How was it? Did you like it? Hope you did ^_~
