Spider in the Office
It was a normal day in the office of SPR, Lin was in his cave working and typing aimlessly at the keyboard while Naru was sipping at the tea his clumsy assistant had brought him only minutes ago.
Mai was reading over the last case file, waiting for the possibility of a new client, or the voice of her boss, demanding her for yet another cup of tea. However, Mai did not notice the large, black spider crawling closer and closer to her hand. The young girl felt a tickle across her hand but when she went to relieve herself of the itch, she felt a hairy eight legged creature. Mai looked down slowly to see a large spider crawling across her hand, with one flick of the wrist, the brunette screamed and ran down the hallway of the office of SPR.
Her boss on the other hand, heard a familiar scream boom through the halls. On command, the young man cautiously but quickly walked down the halls of SPR to find his panicked assistant. As Naru, owner of SPR, turned a corner, he was knocked to the ground by his assistant. The next thing he knew a small, thin body fell on top of him.
Mai had no idea what happened. One minute she was running then the next, she was on the ground, or so she thought. Mai looked down to see the perfectly, shaped face of her boss glare at her. Naru wasn't only her boss but her crush. Mai's face turned beat red. The young girl jumped up faster than a speeding race car and tried to escape before her boss yelled at her.
"Mai." Naru's tone was warning as if he were about to explode with anger. Mai squeaked. Naru couldn't help but soften his eyes and tone of his voice at the cute sound his assistant made. 'No Oliver Davis does not think things are cute.' The man scolded himself for acting vulnerable.
"Why were you running around the halls screaming?" Naru asked before Mai could escape to the kitchen.
"I was running from a spider." Mai mumbled embarrassed over her reaction from a spider. She looked up to see her boss' reaction and she could have swore that he was about to laugh.
"Where did you see this spider?"
"On my hand…" Mai trailed off and looked down at her hand. There it was, the eight legged creature was still on her hand. Mai flicked her wrist again and took off screaming.
When Mai was out of sight, Naru couldn't help but start laughing at the poor girl. The spider was barely the size of his thumb. Immediately after he let the sound release from his throat, he went back to being his usual self.
Mai kept running around the office frantically. Finally she went to pass by her boss but, before Mai could keep running Naru grabbed the girl by her shoulders and spun her around so she could face him. He calmly grabbed the girl's hand, removed the spider before walking to the window and putting it outside. Mai's face flushed red out of embarrassment.
Naru turned to his assistant "Mai, you are staying later tonight considering you wasted a lot of time landing on your boss and running around screaming." Naru stated, trying to hide his smirk. You could practically see the steam coming off of the brunette.
"What?" Mai practically screamed.
"I don't like repeating myself. Oh and Mai?"
"Yes, Naru?" Mai had calmed down a little.
"Tea." Naru did his infamous smirk.
"NARU, YOU INSENSITIVE, TEA-ADDICTED JERK!" Mai screamed even louder than when Ayako breaks one of her nails.
Next time on SPR Moments... Monk and Ayako have a pillow fight. Oh dear... How will that turn out?
