A/N: This is not intended to be a crossover, but I can see how you might interpret it as one. It's more of a comparison of two greats, I think: Doctor Who and the Wizard of Oz. Ah. And they do go together, don't they?
Where the land meets the sky
And beyond that, above,
The abyss of Space lies—
This isn't Kansas, love.
Unknown to most
And ally to few,
The mad old man travels
In his Raggedy Box, blue.
Tornadoes have torn
His long life to shreds
And lifted his companions
Far and away to their ends.
He lives and he dies;
He's tried to save them:
The people he loves,
All of his friends.
He's running around
And from and to
The Emerald City—
But wait—Doctor Who?
Is he the metal man
In want of a heart?
Beating and warm,
Does he need that part?
Nonsense. In fact,
He's got hearts to spare,
Though they've gotten quite old
And torn from the wear.
Is he the cowardly beast
With a fiery, fierce mane?
Does his soul indeed lack
That courageous flame?
Not in the least;
He's the Oncoming Storm!
The Daleks' Predator,
He's the Doctor, Time Lord.
So perhaps a brain
Is what's missing, maybe?
He's the Doctor, good sir!
What blasphemy!
The lion-hearted* man,
So old and so kind,
The bravest of all,
With the sharpest of minds,
The Man in the Box,
Who's mad and absurd,
The Doctor, the Doctor,
He must be a wizard—
But not the one
Of smoke and mirrors,
No! Not the one
That plays on your fears...
The conman, the coward,
The Doctor's not he—
The man behind the mask
He's more likely to be.
A saviour, a Doctor—
To be sure, that's him!
The man in the balloon
Who drowned out the din,
Who spared a heart
For the Metal Man,
Who gave to the scarecrow
His brains of bran,
Who opened the eyes
Of the beast, the lion
Who showed him where
His c-c-courage comes from.
He heals and uplifts
And travels and more.
He helps where he can—
From Kansas to Trenzalore.

Oh, and here's a pun for you (thank god I know better than to use it for a title):
Doctor Oz, like that stupid American Oprah replacement show. Baahahaha. Oh, the cleverness of me.
