Hi! This idea came in a sudden revelation as I was walking to the bus stop and listening to the Dirty Dancing soundtrack. Set pre-curse breaking. Probably a lot of people out of character but they had to be for this story to work.
Shigure was lying on the couch, bored. Tohru was busy in the kitchen, Yuki deep in his books, and Kyo punching thin air. Everything was the same as usual. And that was why Shigure was bored. 'Let's see' he thought 'what to do, what to do'
"Let's have a movie night!" Shigure couldn't remember ever doing this so it seemed like the best choice.
The Sohma family gathered together at Shigures request, and they searched through everyones DVD's. There was full attendance because quite frankly, everyone else was bored as well.
"What does everyone want to get?" asked Tohru politely
Momiji immediately jumped in with: "Heffalump movie!" this was quickly opposed to by everyone except Tohru, who of course agreed with everyone. Ayame suggested Rocky Horror Picture Show, quickly rejected by Kyo (he was thinking of Tohru, cause he's nice like that).
"Can we watch a Little Princess?" squeaked Kisa.
"I want to watch Karate Kid" came Haru's calm voice
"What about Black Beauty?" were Rins first words of the gathering. And so the debate went on, which included a suggestion of Ed Wood by Ritsu, My Girl by Tohru, High School Musical by Momiji and Tohru, which eventually escalated into a rabble. Kyo saw one of his favourite movies and gasped:
"Beaches!" however he saw everyone's head turning to him and quickly corrected himself and said "I mean, um, Jaws! Yeah, I love that scene at the beach, you know with the shark and um other manly images" (sorry, I just picture Kyo having a secret love of chick flicks)
Shigure picked up his favourite movie and held it up for all to see.
"Behold! Dirty Dancing, the greatest film ever made" everyone looked at him quizzically. Yuki asked, very cautiously, "Why do you like it so much?"
"My dear Yuki, this is a film about falling in love with High School Girls" several heads fell into hands as soon as the ears heard the word 'High'.
"Let me demonstrate to you the best part of the entire film" Shigure continued, a cheeky smile coming to his face
"Tohru run to me!" he shouted. And as Kyo tried to stop him, he was rugby tackled by Ayame. Kyo, being the only other Sohma to have seen Dirty Dancing, thought he had a pretty good idea of which scene he was going to attempt to re-enact with Tohru. However Kyo was completely wrong, because as Tohru ran to Shigure obediently, Shigure grabbed her by the waist, and lifted her high above his head. This was applauded by Ayame.
"The lift!" exclaimed Shigure, and seeing Kyo's shocked face, said "what did you think I was going to do?" It was then that Shigure enquired as to how many riceballs Tohru had eaten that day because his arms were getting a bit sore, and it was then that Shigure dropped her and she fell on him and then the familiar poof of smoke appeared. There was then an outraged noise from Shigure as everyone rushed to help Tohru and left him lying on the floor.
