It was evening time in Ponyville. Honey Storm had just finished her shift working as the Ponyville tour guide, and went straight home for some much-needed rest. The path to her home was filled with trees and overgrown shrubbery. It was a quiet place, therefore it was a perfect place for somepony to sit on a tree stump and think without being interrupted. She heard a crack of a twig behind her. She swung her head around to look at the maker of the noise, but nobody was there. She sighed and galloped home, thinking it was just a side effect from lack of sleep.

She opened the door to the run-down cottage, the smell of dust welcoming her. She slowly walked up the stairs into the only bedroom in the house. The stairs creaked under her weight. After she opened the door to the bedroom, she heard the stairs creak behind her. "I really need that sleep." She said to herself, and fell upon the bed, quietly snoring.

She awoke abruptly to the sound of metal clanging together. She got out of bed and went downstairs. A small glowing light in the kitchen caught her attention. "Hm. I don't remember lighting a candle before I went to bed…" She thought, entering the kitchen. A dark red stallion with a black Mohawk was rummaging through her fridge. "Ahem. What're you doing here?" She said, causing the stallion to jump in fright. He looked up at her, a sandwich halfway crammed into his mouth. He attempted to form a sentence, but all that came out were muffled words. Honey sighed. "Chew your food, and then talk to me." He nodded, swallowed, then said in a quick paced voice," Okay so I know what this looks like! I'm just really hungry and nobody wanted me around and my parents kicked me out and I have nopony to go to and I- "but Honey Storm silenced him with a slight flap of her wings. "Don't worry about it. You can stay here as long as you want." She smiled. She held out a hoof." I'm Honey Storm." He shook her hoof and replied," I'm Lunar Tale. Thanks for letting me stay here, Miss Storm." She smiled. "No problem, friend!"
