'But Dean, I don't know how!'
So this is what it feels like to raise children.
'Cas, just lie down, close your eyes and eventually you'll fall asleep' Dean said. He sat on the edge of his bed, Cas wriggling around in his new pyjamas. It was strange not to see him in the trench coat. His hair poked up in every direction and his eyebrows were furrowed over those deep set ocean blue eyes. Dean found himself having to tear his eyes away.
'I don't know how you do it' Cas said. He was such a child, stubbornly folding his arms across his chest.
'Jesus Cas, I already told you!' Dean almost lost his patience, but looking back at the man who lay in his bed, he couldn't possibly be angry.
'But what if I don't fall asleep Dean?' Cas said, he looked genuinely worried.
'Then I'll be here, I'll always be here,' Dean replied. At that, the now human angel smiled happily and fell to sleep almost straight away. Sliding next to him, Dean pulled the cover over him, patting down his out of control hair. 'I'll always be here'
