Author's note : so hey look who's finally posting stuff ^^" I have so many long stories started (37 at last count) that I never really finish anything, get distracted way too easily... anyway this will be a series of drabbles, ficlets and one shots all happening in a future (kinda crack filled) AU in which Himekawa and Kanzaki are roommates (might turn into relationship eventually) and Kanzaki got some cat like features and the instincts that go with them
Updates might get pretty random depending on inspiration but feel free to ask stuff about the AU or leave prompts it might give me some motivation
sorry for long author note enjoy~
Not bothering to put on a shirt after his evening shower, Himekawa let himself drop bonelessly on the couch with an exhausted sigh. While he searched blindly for the TV remote on the side table he spared half a thought to his roommate, he hadn't seen him all day and hoped the damn cat wasn't on one of his silly hunting rampage again. If there was one thing Himekawa didn't want, it was finding small animals by his door just because some weird feline instinct made Kanzaki bring him 'gifts'. As far as gifts went he'd be a lot happier with a nice box of chocolates. Shaking his head at the thoughts when he finally found the remote, Himekawa started looking for something to watch without noticing a pair of shining green eyes staring at him.
Hidden in his nest of blankets under the desk, Kanzaki watched his roommate get out of the bathroom, nose twitching at the minty fresh scent wafting from him. The way the human was sprawled defenceless looked like an invitation to any good predator. So like any good predator, Kanzaki crawled silently out of his hiding place, his tail waving slightly in anticipation. His ears twitched as he listened for any sign that he might be discovered while he stalked up to his unsuspecting prey carefully before pouncing. Landing neatly on his hands and knees over Himekawa, Kanzaki ignored the surprised yelp and dove down on his prey's throat, nuzzling the soft skin there.
Himekawa would deny any flailing he might have done at having an human shaped crazy cat jumping on top of him without warning. He froze when he felt his roommate rub his face against his neck before tilting his head to give him better access. He felt more than heard Kanzaki take a big inspiration and smiled when the overgrown furball started to purr. One of Himekawa's hands slowly made its way to Kanzaki's head to scratch at the base of a pointy ear. The purring grew louder.
Without stopping the ministrations, Himekawa started once again to search blindly for the remote that he definitely did not drop in his earlier surprise. In a completely relaxed tone he asked "Has anyone ever told you how weird you can be?"
"Yeah you two or three times a week, now shut up and scratch a little lower...yes just therrrre" The answer was toughtless, the conversation having been repeated over and over since they started living together. Kanzaki shifted slightly to find a position more comfortable for the both of them before returning to his contented purring, snuggled close to his friend.
Sprawled on the couch and with a purring mess of an overgrown kitten laying over him, Himekawa returned to his mindless channel surfing, this was nothing out of the ordinary for him.
