I don't know how much longer I can hold out against it. Most of my comrades have been killed or eaten by the creature, while the rest have chosen to run away and hide far, far away from this place. I've decided to stay and hold my ground, but even I don't know if I'll come out alive.

If only we've realized sooner how much of a threat this thing would be to our people. How could we have, though? This being that came from the stars seemed innocent enough; when we first discovered it, it didn't do any harm and was actually quite approachable. It was even considered by some to be "cute" and "adorable" because of its childlike appearance and mannerisms.

That innocent-looking abomination from space must have waited for us to let our guard down because it wasn't long after the encounter that it showed its true colors. It began devouring everything in sight, inhaling whatever it saw. Its hunger was endless; it was like a walking black hole. What's worse was that it also had the ability to assimilate the abilities of certain creatures it consumed, which gave the thing limitless control over the elements. It could even conjure a multitude of different weapons with this ability—both conventional and non-conventional—by eating people or creatures wielding them. I saw many of my comrades meet their end in this manner.

The creature single-handedly caused widespread famine and death by devouring most of the country's food supply, as well as countless innocent people. Our efforts to stop the beast have so far been in vain, so I have decided to put my final plan into motion: destroying the monster from my airborne arsenal.

My airship was the only safe haven for me and my remaining forces, but it was only a matter of time until the creature located and boarded it. It has laid waste to everything on board; I'm the only one left. Only I can put a stop to this madness once and for all.

And if all else fails, I will go down with the ship.
