Kurt was in the bath. Kurt hated baths; sitting in your own dirty water for hours, until it went cold? No thanks. Kurt preferred showers. In the shower there was a routine, no time for endless thinking. Lather, rinse, repeat. Done.

Kurt huffed. His big toe turned the bath tap on, letting the hot water run down his foot and into the tub. Then a wave of anger rushed over him and he stood up sharply, letting the water cascade of him. He flung his leg over the side of the bath and climbed out.

From the room next door came the sound of his phone vibrating.

'Oh bloody hell' Kurt muttered.
'What am I now? English?' he thought afterwards, aggravated even by himself.

The phone vibrated again, the sound exaggerated by the hard surface it was on.

Kurt left the bathroom, wrapping a towel around his middle and got his phone.

We need to talk.

'Well of course we bloody need to talk' Kurt thought.

Well Communication is the key, Blaine.

A thousand miles away Blaine received Kurt's text and sighed. So Kurt was in one of those moods was he? Well, Blaine wasn't going to play anymore. He put down his phone and purposely looked away from it. Sure, if it was a different situation he'd be phoning and preparing a song to serenade Kurt with right now. But the argument previously had by Blaine and Kurt was, in no way all Blaine's fault and Blaine was going to wait until Kurt had calmed down until he even thought about phoning him.

Six hours later and neither boy had left the house.

Kurt sat on his bed, pretending to read a magazine.

Blaine was lying on his sofa, the TV on but his mind somewhere else completely.

Kurt watched the clock. Six hours. Three hundred and sixty minutes. Twenty-one thousand and six hundred seconds. Kurt had cleaned his entire apartment, called the shower company about getting someone in to fix his broken shower and made dinner, but he still didn't feel like he'd completed anything.

He picked up his phone.

Hey. x

I know this doesn't quite feel finished, but I wrote it very quickly earlier and I feel like I've left it behind, so I'm just leaving it as it is.

Thank you for reading. :D
