A/N: Okay this story is inspired by one line I read in I'm Yours by BittenByThePuzzleBug on Adultfanfiction. That line was 'if anyone asks what happened you were attacked by a bear.' So, I decided to write a oneshot based on that line…though I used the Yami x Atemu pairing. Hope you enjoy it.
"So let me get this straight Yami. You were mauled by a bear that escaped from the zoo?" Yugi asked his older brother slowly, he'd walked into his older brother's bedroom just in time to see Yami pull his shirt off…revealing a ton of lacerations to his back and arms and when Yami turned around he saw some on his chest as well.
"Yes Yugi, I was attacked by a bear." Yami repeated with a surprisingly straight face.
"Riiight." Yugi said with a slight shake of his head. Seriously, did his brother think he was a complete idiot?
"I'm being serious. I was attacked by a bear." Yami said.
Yugi sighed and shook his head slightly before he turned and left Yami's room. If his brother was going to stand there and lie to him then he didn't really want to talk to him. Once Yami was ready to tell Yugi the truth about what had happened to him…then they'd talk.
Yugi was heading down the stairs when he heard the doorbell ring. He headed towards the door only his brother, still shirtless, came barreling down the stairs past him to answer the door first…revealing Atemu Sennen, his boyfriend.
Yami immediately wrapped his arms around his boyfriend hugging him tightly, Atemu embracing him in return.
Yugi stood just out of sight while he watched the two. He knew Yami and Atemu had been going out for two years now…and that Yami spent a lot of time at Atemu's place. But for some reason he couldn't shake the feeling that something was up.
Yugi's eyes widened at the thought that had just crossed his mind. Atemu hadn't so much as commented on seeing the marks plainly visible on Yami's body. Was Atemu, possibly abusing Yami?
He had better not be. I'll kill him if I find out that's what's going on.
"So Yami, we're still on for tonight right?" Atemu said.
"Yeah Até we are, you'll just have to take it easy with me tonight." Yami said with a smile.
"Oh right. The bear." Atemu said with a laugh at what seemed to be an inside joke.
Yami chuckled as well.
Okay, so he hadn't really been attacked by a bear. He and Atemu had been messing around and had decided to experiment a little bit…and their experimentation left Yami covered in lacerations. He didn't mind…though he and Atemu had jokingly said, 'if anyone asks you got attacked by a bear.'
Though the funny thing was when he had been asked that was the first thing that came to mind.
He just hoped that whatever Atemu wanted to try tonight wouldn't leave any other strange markings on his body…he really didn't want to be telling his brother that he'd been attacked by another wild animal. One crazy wild animal attack excuse can only be used in a month…and even then that's pushing it a bit.
