Update Nov.19, 2015-I revised this chapter to fix some misspellings and correct some minor grammar mistakes. I also reorganized my paragraphs and went into more details. No plot changes, just fine tuning some stuff :)
My first story, started when I was like 13 years old and barely spoke any English. My English would be so proud if she were to read this rather than stupid reading responses about a book that I loathe. I live on Sparknotes, I swear that's the only reason I haven't failed that stupid class.
Disclamer: I do not own anything except the idea of this story. If you want to borrow anything, ask me first.
How it began
"We have a few changes this year." Dumbledore announced with a gleam in his eye."The Ministry has ordered for the sorting hat to retire, and as a result we've had to find a new way to make sure students were placed in the correct house. The robes of every student that walks into this hall will automatically turn the into the colours of their new house. Unfortunately, everybody that had multiple choices, will most likely change house. There shouldn't be too many of you, though I know of a certain few." he took a breath.
"You will immediately sit down at your new table. Any questions?" Dumbledore asked his students, who didn't seem to be looking forward to this school year anymore.
Ron's hand went up. "Yes Mr. Weasley?" you could hear sniggers coming from the Slytherin table. Harry could swear he had heard some of the them silently singing "Weasley is our King."
"Do we have to change houses or can we stay if we want to?" He asked, seeming serious about the question. Several others nodded in agreement and looked at Dumbledore for the answer.
If Harry wouldn't know better, he would say Ron was worried.
"I'm sorry Mr. Weasley, but unfortunately you have to change house if your robes change." Dumbledore said with a sad glint in his eyes.
"Some might be shocked by the changes. Maybe even in disbelief. But remember, your friends are still the same people you have shared your dorms with for years." He finished quietly, looking straight into Harry's eyes.
Did he know? Harry's eyes widened as he understood. He wondered who is dorm mates were going to be.
"Lets welcome the first years!" Dumbledore announced.
Harry closed his eyes and prayed for what was likely the first time in his short life, that he wouldn't lose his friends and family in all but blood. He opened his eyes after a few moments, only to find everybody staring at him in shock. He slowly looked down where once was a lion on his chest. He looked at a green and silver snake instead. He paled slightly and looked across the table to see Hermione in blue, Neville in Yellow robes and surprisingly Seamus in green robes as his. He didn't dare to look at Ron, knowing he would most likely hate him now. He couldn't bare his hatred filled eyes. He locked eyes with Seamus before they stood up at the same time and walked to the Slytherin table, were surprisingly Pansy Parkinson was crying and refusing to leave for the Hufflepuffs. Harry wondered what the Hufflepuffs had done to deserve this punishment.
This year is not going to end well Harry thought to himself before he heard a scream.
"MY OWN SISTER!"
