Amaryllis was something else. She was a fair kunoichi, but not exactly a super-powerful ninja like the ones you hear about in legends. But she came from a village that's practically unheard of, at least that hasn't been even whispered about since the the time the Five Lands that held Kages were established.

It was called the Village Hidden in the Sun, and for good reason too, as it was a rarity to find clouds in this region, it was so bright. The people there all had a personality that could be related to the sun as well, shining bright and enduring.

She had a way with people, as had most of the village people that had lived there. They could be compared to the Land of Fire's Leaf Village, as they had a spirit in them that kept their village lively and prosperous. However, the Sun Village befell a tragic plague, something that was thought to be a primitive way to die out. But it was no ordinary one, it simply caused the people to become slightly ill at first, disguising itself as a common allergy.

It was an astonishing thing, the people who carried this ... thing... just disintegrated... It had happened in front of many, sometimes it happened right out of the blue, a villager on their way to buy groceries just falling into a pile of ashes that were carried away by the wind.

Soon only a small group of the ninja from the village were left, and as they were reluctantly ready to leave their precious village, the plague seemed to simply vanish, dying out with those it shortly inhabited. No one knew where it came from or why it happened in only that village in particular, but the survivors stayed and tried to replenish the land as it once was. They never were able to bring the land back to it's fullest degree, but the ninja that called it their home proudly and kept living their lives to their fullest up to present time.

Amaryllis came to the exit of her village and turned to look at her beautiful home one last time. She was the last one, the older ones had died of old age and the rest had lost their hopes and left to other villages. Amaryllis was only leaving now because she had tried running the place as best she could for a couple days, but there was no way she could take care of everything.

"Bye, I may return some day, maybe with help." Amaryllis said with a small smile.

And so, she took her first step outside her village. Back when they still had enough people to call it a group in the village, it was rare that the shinobi of her village would do missions that involved actually leaving. They had all they needed there, so long as everyone kept doing their part. The last time any other shinobi from other lands had asked for assistance was back before the plague hit, which nobody really knew how long ago it was; though it was long enough ago that her great-grandparents were part of the last mission outside her viillage.

Amaryllis' brown hair swished in the light breeze, giving off a reddish-gold sheen. Her eyes were a glowing orange, like the color of a sunset. She looked ahead, and took three steps before she met two figures that were going to drastically change her lifestyle.
