The Lonely Tree

He sees a boy, then the boy leaves. He sees a girl, but she leaves as well. He feels like he is destined to die alone. Sad, and lonely. When they come with their machines, will he perish forever? Or will they come back? What happens after that? Will they just leave him? Or will they have a new surprise for him?

Hey guys! This is my one-shot for the challenge I gave everybody for PJO's 10 year anniversary. Anyways, ENJOY!

I am the lonely tree.

Once a boy sat next to me.

He talked and he talked till he couldn't talk.

Oh how that boy used to love me.

Then one day the boy with the green eyes left.

He never came back.

Oh how he made me ever so lonely.

Then a year passed and a girl with grey eyes

came to me, oh what a surprise!

She talked and she talked

till she hugged me and left,

then I was alone again.

Then years and years passed

and I got weared down.

The average kid came and went by,

but none as kind as the boy with green eyes

Or as kind as the girl with the grey eyes.

Then boy oh boy, I heard them say they were going to cut me down

Take off my branches, leave me as a stump

And I was not a grump.

All I wanted was the children to come back

Talk to me one last time

Couldn't a lonely tree get a simple ask?

The day came

They came

With their knicknacks and such

All I would do to not be a stump

They started with branches, because I was a big oak

Then a voice I knew yelled stop.

I looked through the men in orange to be pretty stoked.

The girl with grey the eyes, the boy with green eyes.

They were holding a baby, oh what a surprise!

I heard them talk and talk, then the man yelled at them

The workers continued, even though she said no.

Now, I am merely the trunk

No big branches to hold up a swing

When they left, the boy and the girl sat down on the grass

They talked abou what happened, oh what a blast

With monsters and monsters and heroes and such

Then they got married and had a kid

Their names were Percy and Annabeth

Their kid Maya

And now I am not a lonely tree

Because Maya comes every day to visit me

Then one day she didn't and I was so worried

Annabeth came and she said that Maya died

Killed by a Minotaur, oh my!

Annabeth sat down, crying a river

Percy came too, but with his boy

Andrew, age 10, only 2 year younger

Now I am Andrew's tree

He never argues with me

He is always so kind, and plants some flowers

with his new 'friend' May Towr

Forever and ever, Andrew says

Forever and ever.

I am not lonely anymore

Now I am the happy tree

And nobody wants to hurt me

:)
