Rukawa was extremely quiet today, as if there was something bothering him. We were walking side by side towards his apartment, I decided to walk him home today since I wasn't able to be with him for quite sometime because of all those extra trainings I had to do, well coach Taoka made me do.
"What's up with you?" I asked him. I can't take this silent treatment he's giving me anymore. "Why are you awfully quiet today?"
He didn't respond but he stopped walking, his gaze fixed on the ground.
I took his hand and held it tight. Something tells me he's having something that's troubling him or something, I could tell from his actions. Usually he's not this quiet when we're together, he usually gives me the sweetest smile. But today he was not like that. I hope everything's ok.
He lifted his head; his eyes met mine. I could see sadness within his eyes. "Tell me Kae-chan..." I said. "What's bothering you?"
He opened his mouth but no words came out. I don't know, but suddenly I felt something that seemed to tell me what was wrong.
"Aishiteru...Kaede," I whispered, not breaking eye contact.
With that, his eyes went wide, the sadness in his eyes disappeared.

I placed his hands on my chest, letting him feel my heartbeat. 'Can you hear what my heart is saying?"
He looked at me in the eye, but still he didn't say anything. It was as if his tongue was paralyzed.

He blushed and looked away. Finally there was a small smile on his face. That smile meant a lot to me, it was that priceless smile he never gives to anyone. Never to anyone except me, which makes me probably the happiest man on earth. Kaede, my Kaede is just too good to be true... and I'm so lucky to have him; which is why I would never let him go.
"I thought I'd never hear those words from you," he said shyly. "I was expecting that you're gonna..."
I placed my finger on his lips before he could finish what he was gonna say. "Don't be silly," I replied, shaking my head. "Why on earth did you think so?"
"Because lately you've been acting strange. Like you don't care for me..." he replied, I could barely hear his voice. "You didn't even call me the whole week.."
I hugged him. "I'm sorry, Kaede," I whispered. "Its just that I was so busy the whole week! Coach Taoka insisted that I should take extra practices for the whole week, and after that I'm always exhausted I just go straight home and sleep. I really want to call you and everything but I might only annoy you."
He touched my face with his hand. "Poor baby..." he said. "You might've just informed me, though. All those times I thought you were just finding a way to break up! That's why when I saw you outside school today I almost cried. I was a hundred percent sure you were..."
I didn't let him finish what he was gonna say. Before he could even say the word "break-up", I placed my lips on his and kissed him. Honestly, I missed that too.
