My name is Jake, I'm a 19 year old Male and I live in Vault 101, well, I used to, until a certain thing happened, let me tell you all about it.

I woke up to hear Amata screaming at me to get up, I get up and say "What's the matter, Amata?"

Amata replies with "It's your dad, he's... gone!"

I then say "What do you mean?" worrying he might've died

"He's left the vault"

This is when it gets bad, she then went on to tell me about how I need to escape, because they want to kill me, after all that she gave me a 10mm pistol, just incase, I then take my belongings and anything else in my room, I then go out the door to be greeted by a guard, he gets attacked by roaches, I then help him by squishing the roaches with my baseball bat, after they are all gone, he swings his baton at me, but I dodge, I then knock him out by hitting him on the head with my baseball bat, I went to take his stuff, not before being greeted by butch, who says to me "You gotta help me! My mom's trapped in there with the radroaches!" I then answer him by saying "Fine, but I'm doing this for your mom, not you." after that, I take the guards stuff, I equip the baton and go to take care of the radroaches, I squish every one of them with the baton, and Butch's mom says "Thanks, why don't you sit down and have a drink?" I answer with "No thanks, I'm being hunted down, gotta go, bye!"

After a little walk and a meeting with Officer Mack, I then see the guards shoot someone dead, right on the spot, just for running! I didn't remember much, only that I shot both of them, thankfully they didn't die, I go up the stairs to confront the overseer, I get confronted by the Chief of the guards and the deputy, I proceed to knock them both out, and then I confront the overseer, he tells me "Hand over your weapons and maybe we'll go easy on you..." I then proceed to threaten him with the 10mm pistol and say "I don't have to do that." Amata comes running in saying "No Jake, don't! I know he killed Jonas, but-" "WHAT!?" I answer with a shout, I then proceed to whack him unconcious, and run off to the overseer's office, I then hack into the computer, knowing the password would be "Amata" and I then run to the vault door and I am held back by someone, held back by Amata, she says "Wait!" there was then a silence for about 3 to 5 seconds, she then says "I want to come with you..." I say to her "But you don't know what's out there!"

She replies with "Neither do you, but we have a better chance of surviving together"

I then open the vault door, and we walk out together, as two guards come running out, but they see us outside, so they stay in, and as I wander off farther, they close the vault door.

After that, well, I remember almost being blinded by the sun, I never saw it before, being stuck in a vault all my life...
