Everywhere I went, destruction
would occur because if me.
I traveled the world for
a place where I could be.
Then I found you, Beast Boy
and the rest of the Titans.
I didn't want to stay long because of my powers,
I knew you'd be frightened.
But man, was I wrong.
I can't because you guys still took me in.
Even when I left,
When no one knew where I'd been.
No one knew
(and this hurts like a blade)
that the whole time,
I was with Slade.
All he wanted was to
get in the tower
and in return,
he would help me with my power.
I knew what he wanted
to do with you guys.
But I was a fool,
all I did was hide.
I wanted to save you
so I took you to the fair.
The whole time, the pain
inside was more than I could bear.
When Slade arrived, I can't
believe you tried to protect me.
The whole time, I stood shocked,
that you would protect a monster like me.
The pain in your eyes
pained me the most.
Because I knew the door that had
led to our friendship, was now closed.
As I walk away with Slade,
I saw tears appear in your eyes.
Later did I realize that
I never said goodbye.
