"All right," boomed Albus Dumbledore, as the Order of the Phoenix made to leave his office, "that concludes our meeting for today. I am sure that all of you will be devoted to fighting the dark arts, and may we succeed. You may take your leave."

Sirius Black stood up and smoothed his shirt. Without a word, he strode to the door. Dumbledore had just told everyone about how Peter Pettigrew, and not Sirius, had betrayed James and Lily to Voldemort. Sirius felt like he was going to be sick. The Order had apologized to him for doubting him, but they would never be able to make it up to him truly. He could hardly stand any more apologies. Twelve years was a long time to spend in Azkaban. But he did forgive them - for the wizarding community, for Harry, and most of all, for James and Lily.

Padfoot slowed when he was certain that he had put a safe distance between himself and everyone else. He breathed deeply, trying not to think about that night when he had lost everything.

"Sirius?" a gruff voice startled him.

"Hullo, Hagrid," Sirius deadpanned.

"Listen," Hagrid began uncomfortably, "there's somethin' I need to show yeh." Padfoot hesitated. "Come on, yeh'll love it!" Hagrid pleaded. Sirius relented.

The duo walked to Hagrid's hut, which Sirius remembered all too well. He thought of the last time he had come here before his arrest. It had been to show Hagrid his precious motorbike, immediately after he had bought it. A pang filled him as he thought of his beloved motorbike. Where was it now?

No, he couldn't afford to think about it. He had his godson to save. Shaking off all thoughts of the vehicle, he followed Hagrid to the back of his hut.

"Sorry, haven' really been takin' care of 'er… but 'ere's yer beauty."

Sirius' jaw dropped.

There she was. Beautiful as ever, shimmering in the sunlight. A bit rusty from disuse, maybe, but still fierce, still hot. Trembling, Sirius walked over towards her and reached out to caress her delicious curves. She purred appreciatively. "Hagrid, tell me I'm not dreaming," he whispered.

Hagrid chuckled. "I think yeh'd better find out for yerself, Sirius." He dug out a bunch of keys from his pocket and handed them to the younger man. Still trembling, Sirius took them and started her engine.

She roared. "Hey, baby," he said, "missed me?" As if on cue, she groaned. Sirius grinned. "You and I have some catching up to do, don't we?" With that they took off.

Hagrid smiled to himself as he watched the wizard and his one true love disappear into the distance.
