Ophelia came rushing through the castle crying with immense tears, her brother Leartes held her close.

"Kind sister, what's a matter?" He remained still.

Ophelia's words could not escape her mouth. She had bottled up her secret for quite some time now. Hamlet; a man of immense beauty and brains was too much for her, yet she wanted him so bad it was causing her grief.

"You must tell me what's wrong sister." Leartes insisted she speak.

All of a sudden, Hamlet, casually dressed came out of thin air and asked Ophelia what was bothering her. Ophelia ,tense, was trying to decide if she needed alone time with her brother or boldly confess her love and affections toward Prince Hamlet.

"I'll take you to the stairwell my dear", Hamlet's hand gripped around her wrist as chills ran up and down her spine.

When they arrived at the stairway, Leartes had left to help out the King and Queen.

Hamlet removed his shades and looked deep within' Ophelia's eyes, tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"Something is bothering you! You do not have to say if you do not wish to say. I will tell you however, it is better to let your emotions out and hope for the best then keep them inside and never fix the wound." Hamlet said trying to comfort Ophelia.

Ophelia hesitated then decided that it was necessary that he knew. She confessed her love toward him and said that she had these feelings for him since the beginning, she was so unsure. Hamlet however took this like it was a shock. He smiled.

"I like you too... just not to the extent of love." Hamlet reaction was a relief to Ophelia, yet she was embarrassed.

Since their first encounter, he had been teasing her and watching her every move... but she wasn't sure whether it was love, or simply amusement on his behalf.

"I've seen you with other girls, beautiful girls. I've seen the way you act around them... I'm just another." Ophelia stated as the tears began to roll down her cheeks once more.

Hamlet smiled and then put his shades back on again.

"Ophelia, you're unique and true beauty lies within yourself. The other girls, all the same."

He exited the stairwell, Ophelia stood still.
