Meet Chad Dylan Cooper
"She just kind of walked into the room with this sort of grace and poise... Anyway, are we going to play some chess or you want to study Algebra instead?"
He's the school nerd
"I can tutor you if you want?"
Meet Sonny Munroe
"Hi, I'm Sonny. What's your name?"
She's new.
She was beautiful. Every boy's dream. She wasn't like most girls at Condor High School. She had substance. For the most part. When it came to Algebra, she was clueless.
"I can tutor you if you want," Chad told her, as it came out more of a question.
"I'd like that," Sonny grinned.
Two people who had nothing in common
"So, what do you do for fun, Chad?" Sonny asked, tying her dark brown hair into a ponytail.
"The usual. Algebra stuff.. Chess.. whatever, you?"
"Music," she nodded, slowly.
Will suddenly share EVERYTHING
"Girls like you aren't supposed to fall for guys like me, Sonny."
"What exactly is a girl like me, Chad?"
"Beautiful, smart, funny."
"Why can't I like you?"
"Because I'm the school's biggest nerd."
"So?"
"Sonny, it's just not supposed to happen."
"What if I told you that I was falling in love with you?"
"Wh- what?"
"..."
"I'm in love with you too," he said shakily, leaning in to kiss her.
As Sonny begins to rise in popularity... This Girl?"
"Lilly Mason, at your service. Whatcha need?"
Will do ANYTHING to make Sonny's life MISERABLE
"I'm the most popular girl in the school, Munroe."
"Okay? I don't care about popularity. I only care about Chad."
"He's a geek."
"I don't care."
"It's social suicide."
"So? I love him."
"What if I said I loved him?" Lilly Mason lied.
"I'd tell you..." Sonny began, "to get over it."
"I get what I want."
"You're not getting this, Mason."
"Your funeral, Munroe."
Can they last?
"I can't do this anymore, Chad!"
"Do what?"
"This. Us. Everything."
"What are you saying?"
"Maybe.. Maybe I should go."
"Sonny, you can't leave... Not now."
"I'm sorry, Chad..."
"Sonny, please don't go."
"Sorry."
Join Sonny and Chad
Sonny lifted her camera, while snapping a shot of the two together.
"What's this for?" Chad asked.
"The frame on my nightstand," Sonny smiled.
"...Why?"
"I don't know..." she lied.
In the story of a lifetime
As they sat in Chad's bedroom, Sonny turned on his stereo, hearing a talented voice on the other end, "Who sings this?" she asked, tilting her head curiously.
"Hedley. The song.. it's called Perfect."
"It's cute," she nodded, smiling at him.
"Yeah... So, I guess I'll help you now?"
'Trainwreck'
"Can I ask you something, Sonny?"
"Of course."
"Would it be okay if I kissed you?"
