Kagome escaped from Inuyasha by jumping into the well and temporarily sealing it. Climbing out of the well, she gripped her bloody arm as she drug her broken leg along. Lifting her face up at the dark and cloudy sky she thanked the gods for watching over her as she hobbled to the Goshinboku tree, kneeling against its massive trunk.Taking a blood stained photograph from her clothes, she smiled at her family, her friends, and her crazy cat. Closing her eyes she let her hand drop to the ground with a small thud as a tear fell with the first raindrop, and as Kagome breathed her last breath…
King Yamma of the heavens felt the grave loss of a powerful woman and turned his attention to the file presented to him. The file told of a young miko who was the sole purifier of the shikon jewel, the only living family member of a small fox demon, and a young girl that upheld her miko duties and powers.Smiling to himself, Yamma brought out his special seal and special papers. Calling to a phoenix on a perch, he used some of its life ashes to stamp the seal onto the paper. Thanking the phoenix, he blew the extr ash away as he stared at the paper.

Kagome felt a slow warmth arise in her chest as her arm twitched in pain. Her leg seemed to burn with fire as the bone and sinew re knit itself and became new and whole again. Writhing in agony, she shot up in the darkness and clutched her cramping limbs. Opening her eyes, she found herself sitting beneath her tree still, the photo she cherished lying next to her. Chancing a hobble to the trees small fence, she took a deep breath before going to renew the seal on the well. Looking down inside she saw a small bundle. Using her miko powers, she lifted it out into her hands where her fingertips trembled. Lifting a small note from the folds of the package she felt tears form in her eyes.

I was not the greatest of allies in the past, but I hope to change that. Accept my offerings and perhaps we can start anew in your time.
