Yuffie looked around her. There was no one in sight. Surprise. Everyone else has somewhere to be on Christmas Eve. Of course they do.
She walked past house after house and everywhere there seemed to be joy. A young mother was sitting with her baby on her knee. Two children, brother and sister, probably, were playing with some toys. A big family was seated around a big table with a big assortment of food on it. An old couple was listening to their grandson sing Christmas carols. Where are his parents? He was probably an orphan. Poor child. At least he's got his grandparents. That's more than I've got.
Christmas was the only time of year when she missed her family. She'd been on her own since she was a teenager, and was proud of her independence, but when December came, she missed having someone to buy presents for, and make plans with, and eat dinner with. Every year she wrote her wish list, every year she wanted someone to give it to, but every year no one asked, "What do you want for Christmas?"
Tears rolled down her cheeks when she saw a happy couple lying on a couch. A blond girl was stroking her brunette girlfriend. They're so happy. She wished she had a girlfriend to make her happy. The only one I want is the only one I can't get. How typical.
She wondered where Tifa was. She's probably with her family. Or her sweetheart. Images of a girl with long black hair and captivating brown eyes popped up in her mind. For once, she didn't bother to push them away. It's Christmas Eve. I'm allowed to be a bit sentimental. Just one day in the entire year. I have a year's worth of suppressed sadness in me. I'm allowed to cry.
Yuffie had been in love with Tifa for years. She'd watched the girl have relationships with a number of boys and girls, always hoping she'd be next. She never was, of course. Her black-haired angel probably didn't even know she existed. My black-haired angel. Where are you? Who're you with? Do you think of me? I guess you don't. I guess don't even know who I am. She doesn't know who I am. She definitely doesn't know that I'm head over heals in love with her.
She was walking up a hill, just outside town. She reached the top and looked out on all the lights shining up at her from Radiant Garden. My town. How beautiful it looks from up here. All of those lights are people having a good time. I wonder which light she is.
She searched through her pocket, and found a little pouch. She opened it and threw its contents to the wind. Hundreds of fake snow crystals made out of paper. It was her Christmas present for Tifa. I love you, my black-haired angel.

A sad little x-mas story… Haha, it's way too early for x-mas stories, but I can't help it, when I get a story in my head I have to write it… Don't worry, I'll finish my other stories and series, I just wanted to write a few x-mas stories first…
I think I like this story, but I'm not completely 100 happy with it… There seems to be some kind of curse on the stuff I write lately… It's never as good as I want it to be…
Please review :) Paper-made snow crystals for reviewers…
