General POV
When Kira sat nearly motionless on the infirmary bed in the Fire Nation Palace that one day while she was explaining her history, Zuko's mind went crazy with thoughts of this girl whom he once knew.
Why did I bring her here?
Maybe you still love her..
NO! It's because she was dying!
But part of you still cares for her..
But she's like my sister! We grew up together!
No, she's just a girl your father almost used to win the war with..
His mind scrambled these thoughts in his head, thus creating an emotional headache. He still loved her...but won't admit it. Sure, they were best friends. And sure, they were both banished after Zuko received his scar. But the one thing that affected their lives the most: He broke her heart. And that scarred Kira's heart more than her foster-father did Zuko's face...
