Well, here's my first ever, blown-out poem. Ever! And a Myrtle-based one at that! I was inspired by two things: 1) In one of the chapters to WatsonSword's Gems of Tomorrow, there's an excellent bit that explains why Myrtle might act the way she does, which really made me think. 2) In one of the last scenes of Leroy and Stitch (Go see it! It's excellent, trust me!), it showed Gigi save Myrtle from a plasma ball, during a huge fight. And for some reason, it really "awed". I think it was just like, "Aww, Gigi loves her owner. 3 "
So one way or another, something drove me to write this, based off what I know. It may not be completely accurate or logical, but I tried. I also tried not to be melodramatic in it. So here it is, from the 1st person POV of an experiment that doesn't really get too much attention.
(P.S. I know I haven't been working on any of my other fics, but I just had to get this down!) Enjoy!
They say that she's cruel
And will snub you away
She cares for only herself
Or so they say
If you've met her before
And simply think she's a brat
Then listen to me
Because there's much more than that
Since her parents went separate
She'd been all alone
With very little comfort
Even at home
Her father went away
And he still owns a store
She seems to take pride in this
While rarely seeing him anymore
Now her mother's quite sweet
Spoiling her like mad
Yet rarely pays attention
Hardly more than her dad
Without her posse or mother
She'd stomp down the halls
And spend her time in her room
With no real friends but her dolls
But then our paths crossed
I was her first real friend
Who gave her real company
And who she loved to no end
She cherished me, pampered me
With all that she could
While I listened and learned from her
Until I finally understood
Her posse is her shield
That she needs by her side
Her smugness is her mask
That she uses to hide
She still acts quite arrogant
Her hidden feelings in a mix
Still angry at the world
Something I just can't fix
They say that she's heartless
But it's all still okay
Because I know her and love her
No matter what they all say
